Fair point and while I don't know either, I'd be pretty sure SMU does given not only what they were doing to get the death penalty in the 80s but that they just ponied up enough money to cover not receiving a single dollar of ACC TV revenue for 10 years just to get in the conference! Sure that was all about football but with that much money sloshing around, it's hard to imagine someone didn't drop some of it in the men's baseball bucket.

Purdue is a bit of an unfair comparison given that the national player of the year decided to stick around another year - does anyone believe that without Eady they'd be anywhere near the top 40?

Purdue has some other good players, but maybe an unfair comparison… they’ve been better prior to Edey though too haven’t they? Again, my memory isn’t that good 😌

Not to turn this into The Boiler Room or whatever they call their site LOL but I was basing that on how bad their guard play has been in B1G tournament/NCAA losses in the Eady era - which spans the NIL/portal era... They had a really good group before that in the "old days" (2016-19) they got close and fell short as a low seed but had a season like ours this season the year before he got there that got cut short by COVID (500-ish overall and losing record in tne conference) but no doubt Painter is a good coach.

We now return you to regular Bruins programming 😂
