Me too, but this is why I donтАЩt think DTR gets drafted, lots of backup talent around. (I think Josh could have thrived in the right environment, but feel his chance has probably come and gone)
I'm afraid you're right about Josh. It seems all QBs have a 2 or 3 year window from when they enter the league to establish themselves. If they don't, the next batches of QBs get their look and the league moves on.
Its the length-of-contract rules for drafted players these days - since all drafted players sign 4-year contracts, if a QB doesn't show enough to establish themselves/warrant a big 2nd contract by sometime in their year 3 or so, teams look to move on...
I think DTR gets drafted. Teams are always after a QB that can run.
Not a chance. Like the kid. He's not NFL talent.
I dunno, did you watch red zone yesterday? ThereтАЩs a dearth of talent at QB right nowтАж
Honest question, would you take DTR, or Josh Rosen at the moment?
Rosen hands down. But DTR as a backup.

ThereтАЩs some exceptions though, Tommy Maddox comes to mind.
True, but that was nearly 20 years ago. Teams don't have (or can't afford) that kind of patience anymore.
Good point. EverythingтАЩs speeded up these days.

Yeah that makes sense. Everything changesтАж
Also, two words. Ryan Leaf.
