Suggestion (although it may seem a bit off): Women's bball 2014-15 WNIT championship team. Jordin Canada's coming out party but also featuring Monique Billings, sharpshooter Kari Korver, Nirra Fields (played in WNBA, I believe), and Coach Close (her 4th yr at the helm). I feel like this is a game that launched the renaissance of UCLA Women's Bball.

I remember exactly where I was for this game, well, for most of this game...I was sitting in the Crimson & Gold, a bar next to the fancy ice arena at Denver University. I asked the bartender to put the game on for me at kickoff and after suffering through 3 horrific quarters, I left to go watch my son's on-ice practice. I was at first confused, and then in total disbelief, when my brother texted me about an hour later about this amazing U.C.L.A. comeback that I missed entirely.

This line of yours, Dimitri, is the key: "The offensive line steps up down the stretch, and it is going to directly lead to a victory."

Let me be the first to say it on the new site...Line wins games. And Noel Mazzone's play calling and clock management loses games.

Oh what could have been for Josh Rosen and for U.C.L.A. football as a whole.

This was a great idea, DD. For future editions, there are a couple pretty awesome baseball and softball games that would make for good viewing and reviewing.

I was at the Rose Bowl for this game with my dad and my Aggie alum cousin. Truth be told, I don't think I would've stayed for the fourth quarter if he weren't there.

The throw that went through the hands of the Aggie DB and into Darren Andrews' for the touchdown? If you drew a straight line on the flight path of that ball, you'd hit where I was sitting (behind the play), so when I was watching that live I thought it was all over and that it was going to get picked off. I think I jumped three rows of bleachers after I realized what had happened.

And honestly, while there is a ton of praise that can be thrown at Rosen, Caleb Wilson, KLS and a lot of other key contributors in that game, the thing that stuck out to me the most was how unbelievably lucky UCLA got in that second half.

The whiffed interception. Mond stepping out of bounds. The Theo Howard touchdown that Rosen kinda threw up as a prayer (it was an amazing play no doubt but it was a prayer). Those are the most memorable ones, but there were more two. I think on that final drive alone, Rosen threw two passes that hit Aggie defenders in the hands and should've been picked. I think they got a couple breaks on penalties, and the A&M play-calling went to hell (maybe that's a little less luck, but still).

I'm not complaining at all. It's better to be lucky than good sometimes, and the players did step up a ton to their credit. But it was just fascinating to see how many times A&M could've easily iced it and missed opportunities to.

Since this year marks the 25th anniversary of our 11th mens basketball national championship, maybe a watch of that game (1995 vs. Arkansas) would be appropriate. I found a couple of videos of the complete game on YouTube and I actually started watching one of them after all the articles that came out in the LA Times last week. Video quality isn't that great on either one of them, unfortunately.
