I was at the Rose Bowl for this game with my dad and my Aggie alum cousin. Truth be told, I don't think I would've stayed for the fourth quarter if he weren't there.

The throw that went through the hands of the Aggie DB and into Darren Andrews' for the touchdown? If you drew a straight line on the flight path of that ball, you'd hit where I was sitting (behind the play), so when I was watching that live I thought it was all over and that it was going to get picked off. I think I jumped three rows of bleachers after I realized what had happened.

And honestly, while there is a ton of praise that can be thrown at Rosen, Caleb Wilson, KLS and a lot of other key contributors in that game, the thing that stuck out to me the most was how unbelievably lucky UCLA got in that second half.

The whiffed interception. Mond stepping out of bounds. The Theo Howard touchdown that Rosen kinda threw up as a prayer (it was an amazing play no doubt but it was a prayer). Those are the most memorable ones, but there were more two. I think on that final drive alone, Rosen threw two passes that hit Aggie defenders in the hands and should've been picked. I think they got a couple breaks on penalties, and the A&M play-calling went to hell (maybe that's a little less luck, but still).

I'm not complaining at all. It's better to be lucky than good sometimes, and the players did step up a ton to their credit. But it was just fascinating to see how many times A&M could've easily iced it and missed opportunities to.
