It was clear from the initial selection a few weeks ago that their image of UCLA was based on something other than stats and performance. I didn’t think they were going to give us a 1 seed even if we won the Pac-12 tournament. It was clear from the initial selection a few weeks ago that their image of UCLA was based on something other than stats and performance. I think we’re in a tough bracket, but it’s really wide open this year. Just have to play one game at a time. Losing Clark means the reality is our chances of having an off day are greater, but I believe we have the opportunity to go all the way. Not predicting a Natty, but it’s achievable. Would be surprised and disappointed if we’re not playing in the second weekend, would be a little surprised but immensely happy to be playing in the third weekend.

I thought if we won the tournament we had an argument for a 1 seed…and would have been disappointed.
