The UCLA Bruins men's and women's basketball teams will find out who they are playing and where they will be playing when the tournament fields are announced today.
I don't think they watch a lot of games. One of them, wish I could remember who, admitted during a game he hadn't watched a lot of UCLA basketball. He was honest and his commentary showed his lack of preparation.
While by NET we should be the #1 in West, I'm surprised they actually did us a solid by keeping us in the West as the #5 overall seed, per CBS, vs #3 overall Kansas as opposed to having us play the #4 overall seed out of the West as a strict bracket would do...
Dont get between Mick and his dad! I saw on Twitter that Jarmond confronted George Kliavkoff too, leading to his statement this morning. The confrontation looked more heated in pictures than just “being in touch with conference officials”.
FWIW not random but a homage to Big Red's description of the three smallest towns in the Big 12 which zona is likely to be playing in sooner rather than later...
Lots of complaining that could be done after that game, but none of which is the Arizona players or coaches fault. The fouling out of both ucla big men after all the garbage calls was atrocious, but you could also see in the second half that Arizona bigs just let ucla drive to the basket whenever they wanted as a result of how the calls were going… ucla bigs didn’t get the memo.
The last five minutes saw ucla stop driving to the basket… it was clear they were simply trying to hold on after having no defensive answer without any big men left.
Outside of the last 5 minutes and failure to drive to the basket, I have one other big beef with ucla in this game…. How on gods green earth does David singleton only get one heavily contested 3 point shot off at the end of a shot clock!!!! So maddening! He’s your best 3 point shooter. They didn’t run any screens or plays for him to shoot. He literally sat in the corner and stood there on almost every single possession… why does that happen!!! You’ve gotta get him in the game somehow. He’s not as good a defender as Mclendon, so if he’s on the court you better figure out how to damn well use him. If that happens again in the tournament, then ucla will be packing their bags for home. This was the absolute biggest problem in the game for me and that’s something on the coach… get that right cronin, fix it
One reason Singleton didn’t get shots is because Arizona made it a priority. Neither one of our available bigs is a scoring threat inside. That makes it easier to guard the perimeter aggressively.
I really believe Tony Padilla went into last night’s game looking to influence the outcome of the game. Outside of the Amari offensive foul, some of the other calls and no calls from him and his crew were headscratchers.
One good thing coming out of last nights officiating catastrophe was that college basketball reporters nationwide immediately pounced on the bad officiating and broadcast it and published clips on social media.
Cbs describing alabama’s Brandon miller as “sidestepping criminal activity” is astounding - he brought a gun to his teammate who used it to murder someone.
It isn't his coaching. It's the fact that the guy was caught in a massive bribery scandal and is still coaching. Coaches have been banned for much less.
I don’t see Houston making it too far especially if Marcus Sasser is out. They definitely didn’t play as hard as we did in their championship final and lost by 10 to an opponent far worse than Arizona.
Wouldn't be surprised if we're #2 in region with Purdue as the #1 since they've been saying it's been between us for the 4th 1-seed, just hope if so, it's in the West
Well the group knows my disdain for Hurley goes back decades. LOL My observation is the you have two coaches who can't close out games so the winner will be the one who tries to lose less.

I don’t see how they could have just ignored Clark.
Seth Davis picked Gonzaga to win that game so I’m feeling pretty good about our chances there
Just like Lunardi, another troll
Facts!
Agree. One game at a time. Can't get caught looking ahead. And Gonzaga is not the team they've been in recent years.
Cronin not gonna let our boys overlook any team; having said that, there is no reason on paper we lose that game.

Yeah I read that Jarmond needed to be "separated" from George K.
I knew I liked Jarmond for a reason!
This dipshit is claiming that 81 year old Hep Cronin physically attacked a 17 year old Arizona fan. I have some doubts.

And some Arizona fans are saying that the whole thing. is okay because it was payback for the Mac spitting last season
Also, some (most?) Arizona fans are pure trash.
Wtf?
They'll be right at home in Lubbock, Morgantown, Ames, and the other "truck stops" soon enough - can't be too soon for my taste
Now we’re just ripping random small towns across the country? UCLA is better than this.

ROFLMFAO. this is rich. 17 yr old was probably like 6’5.

Same thing happened a lot last year when Riley wasn't hitting and teams wouldn't guard Johnson...
I've got tickets to the Round of 32 Saturday Sacramento games, so really hoping the committee doesn't screw us too much
looks like you get to see AZ play then.
their first and second round games are in sac though
There you go, Matt- your Saturday is full
I'd be ok with a Pac-12 double header that day
I really believe Tony Padilla went into last night’s game looking to influence the outcome of the game. Outside of the Amari offensive foul, some of the other calls and no calls from him and his crew were headscratchers.

Next year will be our last in the PAC-12. It could get real ugly.
Cbs describing alabama’s Brandon miller as “sidestepping criminal activity” is astounding - he brought a gun to his teammate who used it to murder someone.
This is just false. He did not bring a gun to a teammate.
AZ a 2 seen in the south! Higher than I thought
Go Princeton!
That’s good for us I think. We might be given west 2 seed then.
Will be rooting hard for Princeton
Region is far more important than seeding at this point
I have to be honest, I would take their draw, they look elite 8 bound at a minimum with those teams. I would say the same if we had that draw
Xavier overrated as a 3 imho
Yeah and don't get me started on their coach...
LOLOL
I dunno. miller is a great coach. Watch out for them.
It isn't his coaching. It's the fact that the guy was caught in a massive bribery scandal and is still coaching. Coaches have been banned for much less.
And literally all of it was disproven
Houston potentially drawing Auburn in Alabama in the 2nd round is a huge miss from the committee
I don’t see Houston making it too far especially if Marcus Sasser is out. They definitely didn’t play as hard as we did in their championship final and lost by 10 to an opponent far worse than Arizona.
Texas a&m got hosed.
And TX got Midwest 2 and they were seen as one of the dark horse 1 seeds.
Yeah, thought TA&M deserved much higher seed than 7
Feel like they aren't heavily weighting conference tourneys... that would help us
Wouldn't be surprised if we're #2 in region with Purdue as the #1 since they've been saying it's been between us for the 4th 1-seed, just hope if so, it's in the West
Oh jeez we’re going to draw Kansas the west, aren’t we?
I do not want to be in this bracket.
Yup and Gonzaga
Worked out in the Elite 8 in 2007...
It did and I believe! I do wish we were at full strength though!
Bobby hurley vs Steve Alford.
Who do we hate more?
Well the group knows my disdain for Hurley goes back decades. LOL My observation is the you have two coaches who can't close out games so the winner will be the one who tries to lose less.
Okay, we are 2 in the West :-) Whew! Northwestern's no joke, though; not an easy path
Seriously, with Kansas and Gonzaga, this looks like the hardest bracket so far.
Just what I was saying :-)
West looks like a tough bracket!
I agree but I'm glad to avoid Alabama, red-hot Duke, and the 7'4" Eadey...
There's no dominant team this year - and no team tougher than us... So why not us
