UCLA Softball Open the WCWS Against a Familar Foe in Alabama
Today's game is a rematch from the 2024 WCWS meeting between these schools.
This evening, the UCLA softball team opens the Women’s College World Series with a game against the Alabama Crimson Tide. The Bruins have an all-time record of 13-1 against the Tide, and their last WCWS meeting came in the first game of the 2024 WCWS. UCLA won that game by a score of 4-1.
The last meeting between the schools came last year at the Clearwater Invitational, which UCLA also won. The final score in that game was 6-3.

Alabama gets a 2 run homer in the bottom of the 5th to tie the game. They also got runners to 2nd and 3rd but hit a hard liner at Slimp in LF for the 3rd out.
