This is a sad day for the UCLA family, and especially for McGovern’s. I will be grateful for having him here when we did and for him helping us start to turn the program around and wish he had a little more time here on Earth with us. Rest in Peace.

I actually seem to recall having mentioned in previously, though, not with the same amount of detail.
To be honest, I was pulling for him to be able to recover and keep coaching, but that, obviously, wasn't in the cards.
You definitely mentioned it when he was first hired, and we've talked about it in the past.
