Anyone have any opinion of whether DTR is coming back? I believe he will get his NFL shot one day, but if he leaves this year, it will definitely be as an undrafted FA or maybe not at all. I think he's one of the rare guys who could benefit financially from staying in college another season. Most guys have hit their college peak by this point in their careers, but DTR has not.

A lot depends on the Bowl game. If DTR goes off I bet he gets a shot, maybe or maybe not drafted but a shot. It seems like NFL teams are always intrigued by QBs that like to run.
I really do not think 1 game is going to make an impact. His skills are what his skills are, regardless of his performance in whatever third tier bowl game we get sent to.
Absolutely fabulous movie/mini-series or whatever you want to call it. Have seen it many times (and gone back and read the book). Can literally picture the scene you are referring too. Thanks for that!

In the immortal words of Augustus McCrae, 'y god but it's depressin' to talk to you, Pea

Same! I have a signed copy!
Wow I am jealous! Amazing author. All his books are incredible.
I want to do the Lonesome Dove Trail someday in my car.
That would be amazing. I had a friend who grew up in the midwest and he knew a lot the towns mentioned in the book.
