In addition to our usual game thread here on the web, we’re going to try holding a Zoom gathering of Bruin fans.
Now, since this is a bit of a test run, we may be subjected to Zoom’s time limits. If that’s the case, we will share another Meeting ID here and in the room. We will try to have a room open for the entire game, even if we have to change rooms a few times while we test this out.
Of course, please be mindful of everyone and mute your TV whenever your microphone is unmuted.
The Mighty Bruin Zoom Party
We are also excited to announce that we will try something new today for the Ohio State game. We will be holding our first The Mighty Bruin Zoom Party! So, if you’re watching the game and want to virtually meet up with some fellow Bruin fans, join our Zoom meeting! Here are the deets:
The TuneIn player won’t embed here on Substack, but you can open another tab to listen. Today’s game is on CBS with Carter Blackburn and Bill Raftery calling the game. If you would prefer to listen to Josh Lewin and Tracy Murray call today’s game instead you can listen to today’s game online.

I'd love to, but I need my phone for streaming daughter's hockey game which is overlapping shortly with basketball, Broncos, and probably the start of the football game. Today is chaos lol
You just say that but you don't know what I know. I've been doing this a long time. and it's ridiculous you question me. I'm doing it my way and you'll just have to take it if you want to tag along. Now excuse me while I go check today's buffet.
UCLA this year is a team that doesn’t commit a lot of fouls. I noticed that trend the last few weeks but I thought it was just some home cooking. But UCLA has 4 fouls and OH St is already in the double bonus.
Cronin also made a great in-game adjustment. he got Cody Riley 3 open layups, one of them that was batted away for a goaltending call.
I think the emergence of Bernard and the return of Juzang has taken away a lot of his looks. And Smith isn’t a naturally assertive player to begin with.
Hard fought game. Defense played well but offense went cold. Ohio state also figured out how to counter our 3/4 press too in the second half. Juzang needs to spend some time in the gym practicing his 3s.
Refs missed a backcourt call it seems that could’ve been huge for UCLA but with the offense playing as bad as it did, probably wouldn’t have made a difference.
Didn’t get to watch the second half until the last 3 minutes. Stats look like UCLA starters need to not be starting in the next few games. Singleton kyman and Jules are better than juzang and clearly he can’t shoot as well as the hype. When Campbell plays that bad, Singleton or even Jules should be in there instead. He’s not a “shooter” and should not be taking 10 shots and only making 1.. unacceptable
The one whose starting position should most be in jeopardy is Smith. He has checked out. You can't have someone come in with this much hype not contribute.
UCLA was getting wide open looks at the end that I saw. Not sure how the rest of the second half went, but UCLA doesn’t have players that need to “shoot out of a slump”. They need to be playing the hot hand... Jules kyman and Singleton shot a combined 3-5 and yet two of them rode the bench? That’s a coaching mistake in my opinion. Hill also would have been a fine replacement for smith who clearly didn’t do anything to get better during the covid break. Sort of shocking how bad he’s looked this year

Hey, Greg, if you're not working, join the Zoom party

Excuses, excuses. You sound like Chip Kelly.

ROTFLMAO
Kentucky is wasting our time with a bunch of bricks and delaying our start right into football
Football meaning Broncos, of course.
And, Denver, not Boise State, of course.
Correct. And I'm outvoted by the family right now. I'm DVRing the Bruins right now and I'll poke my head in the other room to check scores.
That's just wrong. Some things need to be sacred. Dad rules the remote!
Juzang not cold today
Jaquez ties it up. 10-10.
getting the hustle pts.
Getting killed on the glass.
Maybe, but we're hanging tight so far and their guys are going to be in some foul trouble.
I think our depth will win this one. Unless they leep hitting 3s all game.
we have the rebound edge so far 9-7

Smith losing PT to Bernard
Smith might lose his starting spot to Bernard. He didn’t score until about 5 minutes left in the game vs Marquette and so far he’s 0-1.
Playing very soft. Bernard has really improved.
Exciting game. Both teams are playing quite well.
Smith an enigma. Why does a player's game go from exceptional to poor? Is he hung up with what the NBA told him?
I think the emergence of Bernard and the return of Juzang has taken away a lot of his looks. And Smith isn’t a naturally assertive player to begin with.
Need Jaime and Smith to step up their offense now
Smith is invisible today.
Impressed with rebounding edge 26-19
You gotta make some shots.
If Smith and Juzang don't score, we're threw
Smith, Tyger and JJJ were a combined 5-28 from the field. Tough shooting game.
Yeah no points in four minutes at the end of the game isn’t going to win.

Tyger cannot shoot.

Exactly. He has sucked so far.
Another lousy game by Smith. SMH.
