Officially, it was 27,143, which is a UCLA rose bowl low.

One game does not a season make. But the clock starts ticking.. Time is long overdue for Kelly to deliver and deliver big.

I just watched the highlights, not bad at all. We left at least 10 points on the field if not 17 though. I think that means a higher cover going forward. Although it’s hard for the odds guys to go much past 24…

Did anyone keep track at home how many Bowling Green players went down with a cramp?

Got to earn that reputation of a hostile environment somehow.

Lets beat a top tier team, then i will get excited. We have Alabama State, followed by South Alabama. So we have until the end of the month when we play Washington to make some actual assessment.

Are there top tier teams in the Pac 12? Oregon got demolished by Georgia and Utah lost to Florida. Those are supposed to be the two best teams.

(Unfortunately, the top tier team is likely Southern Cal)

U$C definitely had help from Rice this weekend. I wasn't impressed.

Instead of top tier team I would adjust that to a Power 5 conference. The Pac12 is lacking. its been on a national decline for what it use to be. USC seems to be on the rise, that is based on their recruitment, new coaching, same can be said for Oregon. Washington has done well lately, Utah has been solid. I am forgeting maybe another team. Regardless this preseason schedule is garbage, it does nothing but give us cake wins against a bunch of nobodies. The season is how we will really tell how good this team is.

I think the verdict is still out. Some questions for sure on the O line and Defense, but I don’t think we’ll really know until mid-season. On the bright side it was good to see Kaz get more touches and Keegan looks like a nice secondary back. Charbonet is still a beast. DTR….hmmm…still inconsistent. flashes of the ‘bad’ DTR, running backwards, throwing a bad pick, and then the more mature and composed version shows up and really takes contrLo of the O. I’m worried about the close game where we need a clutch field goal. In some games I can see us going for it on 4th down rather than trust Barr-Mira.

Pac-12 had a shocker today. Hard to call it a power 5 conference.

We want Bama! (state or south, not those other guys)

Chip Kelly sucks. Bad OL, bad Special Teams. SMH. Year 5 and they're still shitty.

This was really good read, its not under a firewall. It goes over details that were discussed on this board including how UCLA is historically a top 20 program, which I believe a 100%.

Spot on. UCLA should’ve got like 6 sacks at the least and scored 60+ in this game. While holding BG to 7 at the most. And 27,000 should’ve got Chip tarmaced.

Really well-written article, and pretty much summarize the reason I and many others have been calling of the cHipster to be fired. We should be better, and we deserve better. Period.

Definitely a Kelly coached team; penalties, turnovers & a DTR interception. Right on schedule. Why aren't the Kelly Bruins scheduled to play a team from the SEC, Big 10, ACC, or the Big 12?

They were scheduled to play Michigan, but the Wolverines backed out (and paid UCLA over a million to do so). They did it late enough that finding a P5 replacement would have been hard, hence the Bruins play Alabama State this week.
