Hope springs eternal. I know you don't want to predict win loss, and for good reason, but we are not thus constrained. I'd be happy with 4 wins although other than Hawaii and U$C it's hard for me to see how we get there. GO BRUINS!

..have fun! There will be moments of that this is allowed.

..arrive in December intact and awake and ready to correct the mistakes and build for a better '25..

..get rid of Jarmond and get someone who can "read the room".

..see if we cans steal a coach to add to Foster's staff like USC did to us 15 minutes after we handed them their ass last year.

Thanks, Dmitri, a new and vastly different era begins...

Appreciate this preview. Well done! UCLA has a squadron of inexperienced quarterbacks. Something tells me we will need all of them to get us through this season!

The good news: no hopium this year.

The bad news: no hopium this year.

How long (games? seasons?) can we blame Chipster for the shortcomings of the team?

Thank you for the preview! It feels like the 3 games in 4 weeks stretch - Minnesota, @Rutgers, @Nebraska - is going to be the key to the season... 3-0 or 2-1 bodes well and might well lead to a Bowl, which in the circumstances we've all noted and the schedule we have, would be a really good result.

I agree with you re. Cignetti though I think his/Indiana's trajectory might more closely resemble Jedd the Fisch's UofA (builds over the season as downtrodden program and G5-kids - 2 starting OL and 2 starting DL from JMU roster + 1 DL from Kent adjusts to P4 competition - learn to win after close early losses) rather than Deion's Colorado (great start but wears down due to lack of playable depth) so I'm glad we get them early and their 1st road game after they play FIU and a D2 team...

Finally, on the B1G overall - since I see/hear this a lot... realize the rest of the holdovers below Michigan, Penn St, and A school in Ohio are pretty meh... arguably the traditional #4 team, Wisconsin, just got swept home and home in 22 & 23 by Wazoo! The other candidate for #4, Iowa yes is a "gate keeper" but one with an offense that last year averaged 235 yds/game - or 8 yds less than we gained in the Utah game under Dante Moore! Just sayin...

It would be a rough season if the Pac 12 were returning in tact....but holy cow we have at least 5 automatic losses on the schedule and maybe automatic 21 point losses

CBS Sports did a Big 10 standings prediction with 7 of its writers. The highest we were picked to finish was 14th. The Pac 12 did not even have 14 teams. Someone had us finishing 18th and two had us 17th.

What is going to suck about this season is we may start off with some fake hope. We should blow out Hawaii (if we don't, oh no). And we might even beat Indiana (probably not). Then, a gauntlet.
