I left BRO several years ago because Tracy deleted several of my comments. Each one was for the same reason. I liked Tracy because to me he gave his opinion, whether good or bad, about the AD, football & basketball coaches, players, athletic dept. policies etc.. What I did was kid him about a couple of game predictions that he made that turned out way off. So I wanted to know who he predicted to win in the next weekend's game so that I could pick the other team. The next day my comment was deleted. Wow! If someone is so thin skinned as a moderator then I am out of there. Besides, BRO was really made up of the ole' boys club, so ANY criticism from them towards Tracy was always OK.
So, is my making fun of a TMB writer similar to what I wrote above against policy?
I don't believe we ever voted a strike against someone for a good ol' fashioned ribbing like that at the old site. And, make no mistake: our guidelines are almost identical to the ones we had at the old site.
Our goal is to maintain good discussion. We encourage well-reasoned discussion.
That said, we don't generally put up with negative attacks towards any fellow member, be it a mod or a regular member. On top of that, we believe that it's important for us to play by the same rules that everyone else has to play by.
I never allowed a "Do as I say, not as I do" policy to exist on BN and we won't do it here either.
Frankly, we made it pretty darn hard for anyone to be banned. You had to pretty much show up looking to get banned for it to happen.
I think that pretty much sums up how we administered things before and how we plan to administer this site as well.
Thanks for your quick & concise response. My feedback to Tracy was clearly said in good humor. I look forward to subscribing to The Mighty Bruin and if there is a fee I will gladly pay it. Please stay extra safe during these difficult times.
How long will the $30 for a year be available? The reason I ask is there isn't much happening now and I plan to pay but would rather pay when sports return. If you haven't decided yet, I understand fully. Thanks.

That's a fair question.

If I start making predictions that are bad please make sure to rib me into oblivion.
