It’s on to Week Three today at the Rose Bowl when the UCLA Bruins conclude non-conference play by hosting the South Alabama Jaguars. Today’s game looks like the toughest of the Bruins’ three non-conference games after the Sun Belt Conference upset three Power 5 schools in the first two weeks of the season.
Today’s halftime show will feature the return of the Solid Gold Sound of the UCLA Bruin Marching Band with special guest Mariachi de Uclatlán to celebrate the “Los Bruins Game.”
Game Time Weather Forecast
Finally! Today should be back to being a Chamber of Commerce day at the Rose Bowl!
In fact, it won’t even be quite as hot (or muggy) as it was last weekend for the Alabama State game.
Expect it to be a much more comfortable 73° and mostly sunny at kickoff and it should stay pretty comfortable for the entire game. Look for the temperature to climb a bit to about 77° at halftime, though it should stay below 80° for the entire second half.

God awful.. shitty, high school football. We might win a couple of pac12 games. We are going to get completely blown out by SC. The difference in appearance between the two teams is very stark indeed.
This is a game where he can get away with mistakes. Wait until Oregon or sc or another team, where he costs us the game. He still could’ve already cost us the game.
The second part is true. I can’t agree with the first. DTR is causing bobbled hand offs as a fifth year senior. That’s a freshman mistake, and he did it twice!
I would bet all of this year’s playoff teams have a backup QB better than DTR. Even Garbers would’ve probably stopped us from needing a last minute score.
I’m happy when DTR plays well, but he shouldn’t be starting for us.
Only realistic play
Hope our next head coach believes in recruiting. Can not build a winning team with only portal players.
I wasn't going to say it, but I was thinking it...
Not what we need. The first down plays have been sorely lacking today.
Sounds like a good fantasy football team name.
Looks bleak at this point
Let’s see if our offense can stay awake for the fourth quarter, and the defense can provide any resistance. It doesn’t look good.
I am speechless..
Zero resistance
With all the DCs around, we always find the bad ones.
I was thinking the same thing!
I agree.
I wonder if anyone still has the delusion that he’ll lead us to a championship?
There’s something wrong if we can’t beat Colorado.
So Alabama is better than Colorado and UofA - who's a home underdog to FCS ND St today... But yeah...
U!!!
C!!!
L
A!!!
Fight fight fight!
Still no 3 and outs
Can't even get a third down stop
Need to get it going.
Settling for field goals isn't going to cut it likely.
Not when we can’t stop Webb.
All the missed tackles don't help
Nope
Wide open! 😖
Call him a door he's wide open. Ugh
Whoo! Finally a TD!
OMG! Bobbled the ball! 🤬
Yay, TD and we go ahead!
Wow a goal line fumble...
This is horrible.
We might need to start a drinking game. 🥃😖
Looking pretty pathetic during this "first test" So depressing
No pressure on the QB. Losing the line battle.
What kind of 💩 coverage was that?
Soft D
TD! Sad and pathetic! 🤕
The Swiss cheese defense has returned
Done with chip. Fire the motherfucker.. they are now unwatchable again... So glad I did not buy season tickets to this bullshit.
Can I up vote this?!
That fumble was on DTR. Bad exchange.
What’s new? He should’ve never been out starting QB.
*our
So much fun to see our team have their asses kicked by a Sun Belt team. We will be doormat of Big 10....
That's my fear
Finally! TD! Some desire from our offense.
How about a stop?
Yeah a third down stop would be nice...
Too easy. Another 3rd down conversion.
If we can’t get to the UW game 4-0, we def need to fire Chip.
Reason to be optimistic:
LA Times Ben Bolch says ucla have outscored its opponents in the second half 128-16 in the last 5 games
While that is true, UCLA always seems to need an entire half to get going. It is a huge gamble every time.
And Cal is beating Notre Dame in South Bend. I should have gone to that game with my husband!
Maybe Brian Kelly knew Notre Dame was going to be terrible so that is why he left.
Great offensive drive. Now the defense needs to get it done.
So far, defense is not.
South Bama on the march again...
Woo-hoo! Dang!
I would need a different angle to see when ball was loose to reverse the call.
Why throw THAT ball?
K-rap!

Bruins deserve to lose
Bruins shoot themselves in the foot again.
Turn off the lights and stick a fork in us.
What an embarrassment... Chip shouldnt. Be allowed back on campus.
Time for Jarmond to do his job
Oh yeah I forgot about that...
Embarrassing.
Did you see the two Bruins in the secondary staring at each other like why didn't you cover him.
All turned on the 3rd and 10 that they converted with ease on a simple out route because of a huge cushion. The more things change…
Who in this group coined the "sofa cushion defense"?? Hat tip to you but unfortunately it is back. Sad!
It’s been a long road, but DTR beat SC last year, and win or lose, I have confidence he’ll give us a shot in this game. We need the D to step up.
😂🤣😂😂🤣 Did you see him miss the receiver cutting to the end zone on second down?
Told you so. 😛
This is a game where he can get away with mistakes. Wait until Oregon or sc or another team, where he costs us the game. He still could’ve already cost us the game.
I want to root for him. Chip is the one I have a hard time rooting for.

Red zone offense sucks
There was one blocker that could of helped DTR. He picked the wrong guy to block and missed.
I don’t think he would’ve gotten the first down, either way. Good thing we got the TD.
Logan Loya!
