1) 240, 3, and 1

2) 250 Charbonnet and DTR go off and 180

3) 175

Bruins continue their offensive smallmouth and win going away 45-31

Ima go with Charbonnet, I think he’d be the second favorite in Vegas after Knight

Who knows, maybe 35,750?

GO BRUINS

Good day from San Diego. Last time we came here we had a great tailgate and a terrible game. I think this will be different and we will continue our win streak vs the Wolfpack. Really hoping for DTR to have a happy finale.

250, 1, 2

249, 205

142

Ucla

DTR

32,005

Go Bruins

North Carolina State is good. I don't want to cast doubts, but looking at our team, there are two words that come to mind: 1) Azz and 2) inaro. This doesn't give me a lot of confidence.

Guess #1: 375 yards, 4 touchdowns, 0 interceptions

Guess #2: 125 yards rushing for us with 275 yards passing.

Guess #3: 110 yards rushing for them

Bonus #1: North Carolina State

Bonus #2: Thayer Thomas

Bonus #3: 38,500

Wish I could be more optimistic. I think our 8-4 record benefitted from playing some weak teams in a weak conference. The ACC is, in my opinion, a much better conference.

Will be at the game today. Had a chance to talk to a few of the guys in the hotel lobby last night. They are upbeat, loose, and ready to go!

At Bruin brunch. Jarmond just announced game is cancelled . They were hoping they could clear some players but didn't come back negative

if this is the case, it seems like they should have delayed the game a day or two. Lots of money lost here, tens of thousands of fans inconvenienced. Should just wait for players to come out of protocols. Nothing to lose.

Holiday bowl canceled. Hopefully everyone’s ok

they just cancelled the game. SO ridiculous. Same as the Arizona bowl. Cancelled based on protocols designed for Covid 12-18 months ago.

Sick to my stomach right now....and not due to illness. I feel awful for our players who had waited 5 years to get to another bowl game...and for NC State and fans who travelled across the country....heartbreaking.

no kidding. If it's really just a matter of guys testing out of the protocols (which will happen eventually), I don't understand why they don't try to salvage this and delay the game a day or two or 3. They didn't even try. If the numbers are going up tomorrow and the next day, fine. Cancel it. But play the game if you can.

and on that note, i've seen schools pull out of bowls because not enough "scholarship" players available. Play the walk ons!

This year is perfect intersection of players "opting out" (don't get me started on that BS) and protocols.

Even if the City is cool with the logistics of doing that on no notice especially with all the parking & extra security, etc required in the Gaslamp for NYE, TV might play a role in that scenario - it's a fox game so not so sure they have a window for a primetime broadcast on either fox or fs1 on Thursday or New Years Eve... TV often does wag the dog

this is true. but the Holiday Bowl isn't a small event. all the games tomorrow are ESPN. same with the 30th. It just seems to me that the ratings from this game no matter where they put it would have been worth it. By the way, if Fox couldn't accommodate, why not pay them to let another network do it. Icing on the cake for Fox.

You would think some thought would have been given to contingency plans instead of play or cancel. Delaying would have been 1st choice, but Clio 98 does bring up valid points on TV, City, Venue, etc.....nobody wins here.

one more thought. And this is probably the conference's fault or NCAA. They should have foreseen this possibility and created exemptions where, if necessary, redshirts could play without burning the redshirt year. Sort of like a taxi squad. Hopefully covid is gone by next season, but the NCAA should seriously consider extra scholarships to allow for expanded rosters so that when the entire offensive line comes down with covid the day before a bowl game, there are enough guys available to step in.

The time is now for the Playoff to start making contingency plans...but they wont

They already have:

If one semifinalist can't play, its a forfeit and the other team advances to the Final.

If both semifinalists in one game can't play, then winner of remaining semifinal wins CFP Championship

If 3 semifinalists can't play the one that could play becomes CFP National Champion

If both semifinals are played, the CFP National Championship can be rescheduled but must be played by Fri 1/14 - if it can't, the team that can't play forfeits and the one that can is CFP National Champion.

Yep, additionally in the off chance that all teams have covid, there is no national champion.

Per Bruce Feldman - its the whole D-Line room that's out. Apparently we were down to only 2 available DL with a backup LB preparing to play NG and were going to go but then had more covid positives today & no-one already out cleared

Heartbreaking for the kids like DTR who stuck it out through all the bad to earn a Bowl experience and game and have it pulled away at the final hour... I'm gonna disagree with "William Munny" in the Unforgiven - "deserve" does have something to do with it!

Bummer for the NC State fans as well but at least they're "stuck" in Gaslamp San Diego and not Tucson, Birmingham, or Detroit! (No! No! Not Detriot! Anything but that!)
