From what I've read multiple times, our NIL is has been described as very competitive. It is hard to compare the programs because it isn't public information and some of the programs have one or two people or corporations (whales) funding their programs. It is just mind boggling though the numbers that are bandied about describing what some recruits are demanding. The whole landscape has certainly changed and in quick order.

Yes, it has gotten real crazy with NIL being unregulated and the transfer portal opening up in the midst of March Madness to allow the student-athletes to start searching early for bigger bucks, or to force them to enter it when their HC doesn't need them anymore. Schools that can recruit and retain the most talented players with NIL money sure have a big advantage over schools that don't have that kind of funding. Seems to have resulted in fewer upsets during this year's tournament.
