Congrats to all of our award winners! But a special congrats should also go to all the roster, coaches, trainers, and support staff. Everyone had a part in contributing to the growth and competition in practice and meetings and every other part of this team's season. No player really wins an award by himself, and I hope every member of the U.C.L.A. Basketball program takes great pride in these awards today. What a referendum on this team and its season!
I see these awards like midterms. We're kicking butt so far, but there are more tests coming before the final grades are in, beginning this weekend. LFG, Bruins!!
Great comments as always. During yesterday's presser about the Coach of the Year Award, Mick immediately said Coaching Staff of the Year Award. He recognized so many others directly (and quote John Wooden in the process!). Always seems to be such a humble man, ready to give credit to others.
