Tonight’s game will be a good test for the UCLA Bruins. The Marquette Golden Eagles are a very good defensive basketball team.
The big question tonight is: Will the Bruins who finished last season show up or will we see the team which played San Diego State a few weeks ago to start the season?
Tonight’s game has the makings of a low scoring defensive slugfest because, as we know, UCLA head coach Mick Cronin emphasizes defense as does Marquette head man Steve Wojciechowski. It may very be a case of the first team to either 60 or 70 wins tonight.
Of course, I have to think that the Bruins will win tonight, but I do think it’s going to be a close, hard-fought game.

It's been a long time since we could win a game with 3 starters like Smith, Juzang, & Riley having really off nights. It really speaks to the depth and tenacity to do the little things right.
It has to be the mask. Bill is not doing the usual like asking his TV partner if they have been to random cities around the world or if they remember NBA players from 40 years ago.
UCLA held Marquette to only 6 points (2 of those on free throws) after the under-8 timeout. Really great defense at the end.
