This afternoon, the UCLA Bruins are in Seattle looking for a split of their Washington road trip. Tip-off is set for 4:30 pm PT and the game will air on Pac-12 Networks.
The Bruins are reeling after losing the last two games to Southern Cal and Washington State. As a result of those losses, UCLA has fallen out of first place in the Pac-12 standings.
On Thursday at Washington State, the Bruins looked more like the team that Mick Cronin had when he first took over than the team that tore through the first half of the conference schedule.
Today’s game is a big opportunity for UCLA to get back on track, but it isn’t going to be easy. The last time the Bruins played the Huskies, they had to comeback from a 10-point deficit after the first half in order to win by five, 81-76.
But, given the way UCLA has played in the past two games, the team may not be able to mount another comeback if they trail by that many at the break. In fact, the team looked horrible on offense Thursday against Washington State.
The bottom line for today’s game is simple: UCLA needs to find some offense. If they can’t, it’s going to be another long afternoon.
