Today’s preview will be a little abbreviated due to time constraints.
After losing for the first time this season on Friday, the #8/7 UCLA Bruins basketball team will play the #5/6 Baylor Bears this afternoon at 2:30 pm PT.
Baylor also lost their first game this weekend when they fell to Virginia the other night.
Today’s game is just the fifth meeting between the Bruins and the Bears and it’s the first one since December 1975.
Head coach Scott Drew has been at Baylor since 2003 and has compiled a 400-223 record there. He led the team to the 2021 NCAA Championship by beating Gonzaga in the championship game after the Zags survived against Mick Cronin’s Bruins.
Drew will start a three-guard lineup consisting of Keyonte George, Adam Flagler, and LJ Cryer, who are averaging 17.0, 16.8 and 15.5 ppg, respectively.
Jalen Bridges and Flo Thamba will start at the forwards.
