Tonight, the UCLA Bruins begin their final road trip as members of the Pac-12. They tip it off with a game against the Washington Huskies.
When the Bruins met the Huskies in Westwood, UCLA cruised to an easy 73-61 win. Not only did it end a four-game losing streak for the Bruins, it also snapped a 1-8 skid.
Meanwhile, the Huskies have gone 5-6 since that game, though they haven’t been held to less than 67 points since.
The good news for UCLA is that they will likely face the same starting lineup that they did in Westwood. Of course, that doesn’t guarantee a Bruin win tonight after they have lost the last two games, but it certainly gives credence to the fact that the Bruins should be able to defeat the Huskies on tbe road, too.
UCLA definitely needs a win tonight, too, because Colorado beat UC Berkeley last night to take a half game lead over the Bruins for fourth place in the conference. As long as they can keep pace with the Buffaloes, they will earn the first round by in the Pac-12 Tournament by virtue of the fact that UCLA defeated Colorado in their lone meeting this season.
Of course, UCLA needs to keep winning to keep their slim NCAA Tournament hopes alive, too.
I don’t think the margin of victory will be quite as big as it was it Westwood, but I do think that UCLA will get back in the left column tonight.

It’s because there weren’t ANY coaching critiques in the post game write up. It’s almost like this lost season is only the players fault. They don’t want to see any more discussion about how bad cronin’s game plan was because it will make the site look bad. Why didn’t any of the post game give at least some credit for the loss to cronin? It’s almost like he can do no wrong this year
