UCLA needed a leader in this game to step up and score and no one did. Was extremely unimpressed with juzang and Jules. When they aren’t scoring baskets, they are a defensive liability and last two games showed… they have trouble defending athletic guards. Be interested to see what their numbers were…

Also, why the abysmal 3 pt shooting? Juaqez, juzang, singleton, and Jules combined for 2 three point baskets. Meanwhile tyger who has been shooting well took 0 attempts?

I said in this game that ucla plays more like an nba team with lots of 1:1 … which is fine for developing nba players. But they’re gonna have to pass it around a lot better in conference play or they’ll wind up with a lot more losses then they’re hoping for

Not fun to watch... But out of adversity comes strength. This should (properly) bring the team down a peg and force them to focus. The second half was definitely better, but a 20 point hole was too big to climb out. Bruins now know where they are. Not close to #1. That's ok by me as long as they continue to improve and listen to their coach. Go Bruins!

Nighters, Mighty Bruins. That wasn't worth the two hours.

gbruin's avatar

If it gets us better in March, it’s still worth it.

Clio 98's avatar

Sometimes a 15 point loss in November in a top 10 matchup can lead to a 27 point win in March... here's to being on the right side of that this time

Happy Thanksgiving Mighty Bruins - let's all enjoy 62 helpings of our favorite sides and desserts!

ArmyBruin's avatar

On a bright side, I think Watson competed tonight and learned a lot tonight.

TxBruinFan's avatar

Ugh, terrible night. But, only one, early season game....learn, get better, get healthy, and move ion.

Happy Thanksgiving to all the Mighty Bruin Family!

BruinMom17's avatar

Same from me! Happy Thanksgiving!

BruinMom17's avatar

A far cry from the playing against Villanova

Uclaluv's avatar

I feel bad for my friends that went. But admire them for going and supporting our guys.

gbruin's avatar

This game was painful, but necessary. See where that bar is Bruins? Now, can you get there?

Someone make sure Few calls an Uber back to the hotel tonight

LV does not beed more of their citizens un danger

bruinballer's avatar

Thank goodness this is only a pre-season game. As has been said, let's just learn from it and move on. It is meaningless. Let's win conference and then let the chips fall where they may.

Bruin90's avatar

We played well about 6 minutes out of 40

gbruin's avatar

Why does Gonzaga have that kid in still?

gbruin's avatar

Seems unnecessarily risky at this point.

Uclaluv's avatar

Someone on the DP show said that DTR should have gotten a good sportsmanship call for signing the kids hat and an extra 15 yards. Thought that was so true.

gbruin's avatar

That will feel good for a very long time.

ArmyBruin's avatar

If we could win this fame or the one last Saturday, I’d take putting up 62 on SC all say.

Bruin90's avatar

We are going to need to find ways to score when the outside shots are not dropping. I think it is better defense and transition baskets. We have seen very little of that tonight.

TxBruinFan's avatar

We lack any inside sciring with Cody out...he had a huge game in April that would be great right now

Bruinbaskets's avatar

This should be good for ucla… put them in their place… long season and they seemed arrogant I. The game yesterday and it showed up in the first half to put them out of the game

bruinballer's avatar

I never got arrogance from any of our players, baskets. Maybe they're too confident, but that's a far cry from arrogance

Bruinbaskets's avatar

I think they played like they thought were hot shit yesterday. I like having fun, but yesterday I thought they played like they were special… like I said, I feel like this is getting exposed, I think it will make them better

bruinballer's avatar

I thought they lacked effort and were lackadaisical. Where in the game did you get the "hot shit" attitude, cuz I missed it?

Uclaluv's avatar

Agree. I don't get that attitude from any of them. I really do think they've been under the weather.

Uclaluv's avatar

I hadn't noticed that (arrogance) at their home games. But I agree this will make them better

BruinMom17's avatar

I sure hope something good comes of this

gbruin's avatar

Yup. Be grateful to get this lesson when we have a chance to learn and grow from it.

Uclaluv's avatar

So glad I decided not too! (Travel to Vegas)

gbruin's avatar

Man these guys are whiners. Robbin thinks these guys milk every contact.

bruinballer's avatar

shooting 17% from outside -_-

bruinballer's avatar

Gotta make those easy ones, Jules (and every other Bruin who's missed the free throws)

Bruin90's avatar

We are still giving up too many easy shots/layups. We have had a few spurts of good play, but need that to be consistent. Let's see if we can close out the game with some intensity.

OA MD's avatar

At this point just winning the 2nd half point battle to save us from embarrassment would feel great.

gbruin's avatar

Geez…Gonzaga v Duke on Friday. Who do you root for in that one?? The meteor??

TxBruinFan's avatar

I'll be watching Tiple D reruns instead

BruinMom17's avatar

Those are the ones I call injury games. Just going both teams lose and a few players get hurt.

bruinballer's avatar

Like when Patriots play Seahawks... root for earthquake

ArmyBruin's avatar

Clark is the only one really competing

gbruin's avatar

Ball don’t lie, ahole

Gen2Bruin1987's avatar

What kind of crappy shoes are they wearing? They keep slipping and falling.

kingjim1954's avatar

Jeeze Louise the hole is still as deep.

gbruin's avatar

Gonzaga looking like Neymar

gbruin's avatar

We really gotta fix that inbounds pass under the rim. You’d think that Stanford game would have been the last time we’d ever blow that.

Uclaluv's avatar

Bs he went for the ball

Uclaluv's avatar

Man, even Singleton can't knock one down

bruinballer's avatar

Singleton off as well

bruinballer's avatar

Yes! Drawing those fouls!

gbruin's avatar

And Clark knocks down both FT

bruinballer's avatar

Clark showing his usual hustle

bruinballer's avatar

OMG Timme totally cleared out on that pass, and of course no call

ArmyBruin's avatar

This is why I love Mick. If Johnny won’t guard, Johnny won’t play. CSA never had balls big enough to hold anyone accountable.

BruinMom17's avatar

In the words of Bill Walton, the bench is your friend.

gbruin's avatar

Including himself.

bruinballer's avatar

Certainly not his son!

bruinballer's avatar

Seriously!! Don't ever dignify his reign of error

bruinballer's avatar

Bolton, Holmgren, and Strawther have 3; their Watson have 4. Let's go, Bruins! Let's foul them out!!

Uclaluv's avatar

Wish Clark could improve ft's. He's such a fighter under basket.

Bruin90's avatar

Better effort. Zags have 8 fouls and we have none. Need to take advantage.

gbruin's avatar

Yup. I like our intensity the last 5+ min much better.

TxBruinFan's avatar

Defensive effort had been kuch better . But shooting is still way off

bruinballer's avatar

Finally we're getting offensive rebounds again! We do that and we have a chance!

Bruinbaskets's avatar

Need some baskets.. 3pt shooting is horrendous

kingjim1954's avatar

We are rim magnets, tonight!
