Those who get a chance to go back to Philly should visit Independence Hall. Had a great tour led by a US Park Ranger Don’t remember exactly what year it was but we saw Jeremy Lin play for Harvard vs Penn and went to the 25th Anniversary celebration of the 1985 Villanova national championship where they defeated Georgetown in an epic upset— wait my math skills and lawyer derived logical reasoning skills - now places our trip in 2010. Anyhow I like the post and the tradition of publishing the Declaration of Independence Loved the Vince Lombardi quote. He is absolutely right.
My wife and I visited Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell back on September 7, 2016. That was the date of the photo in this article. It was awe-inspiring to be in that room.
I know the date because, later that night, we saw Springsteen play his longest US concert ever at Citizens Bank Park, home of the Phillies. The show was 4 hours, 3 minutes and 46 seconds from the first note to the last.
My family and I toured Independence Hall a couple years back, and we then patronized the Founders' favorite watering hole, City Tavern, a couple blocks over. I think I told the story on BN of my ancestor, George Clymer, shortly after that. In the famous John Trumbull painting of the signers, he's the guy left of center in the rear who is looking out the window (towards the Tavern??) instead of toward Hancock and the table with the document. I think that explains a lot.
Thanks for maintaining the tradition of posting the Declaration in your new “home.” Never a better time than the present to read again these amazing, enduring words.

Thanks. Nice to see this holiday actually celebrated and supported on a sports forum.
