Okay, just what the hell was this?? It's like Deshaun didn't even try to prepare but instead just pulled his speech outta his ass. This is somewhat embarrassing, and not how I wanted our four letters introduced to Big10.
I deleted my prior reply because I had time to think about it...
Coach Fos has done a ton of amazing things for UCLA Football. I have been super supprtive of him, and I still am...
He has hired awesome coaches, brought back incredible enthusiasm and traditions, brought the entire community together, connected with donors and increased support - a lot.
The players love him, really love him, and respect him. He is a teacher. He is a developer of players. He filled our holes with transfer portal guys and is doing a fantastic job in recruiting high schoolers.
He is putting together all the pieces for great success in the future.
With that said... NO EXCUSE for this DROP of the BALL. None. Nada. Zip.
I appreciate your support of our coach, Tamara, and I'm certainly not calling for his firing LOL I'm still looking forward to football season, and hope I will be fair with my remarks re his coaching. That said, I was just very disappointed in his lack of preparation that negatively affected our showing at the press conference. I agree with you -- absolutely no excuses for this.
That's actually pretty cool. Still, no excuse but he has turned a poor performance into a pretty creative brand. So the phrase may achieve fame status and create even more respect for the way he has handled it. Have to respect that!
The last electronic football game I played was probably in 1985. Instead of graphics it had little dot matrixes. We've come a long way!
Which one was it? Mattel Football, Mattel Football 2, Coleco Electronic Quarterback or Coleco Head to Head Football?
I still have my original Mattel Football 2 -- and it still works with a 9 volt battery!
Coleco Electronic Quarterback. So much fun! I lost track of it years ago sadly...

After reading Bolch's story, Deshaun knows he messed up. So I am hoping this was a one off. Football can't happen soon enough. 💙💛
Apparently he does know, and he can laugh at himself about it!

Bruins are officially in the Big Ten. It was weird watching a classic UCLA football game last night on the Big Ten Network.
