Tonight’s game will likely be tougher than last week’s game against Arizona State, but it shouldn’t really be close. Like last week’s game against the Sun Devils, this game has the potential to become a trap game if the Bruins get caught looking ahead to next week’s showdown against Southern Cal.
The Bruins are a 19.5-point favorite tonight, but I’m expecting this game to be a little closer than that.
The Wildcats are in their second season under former UCLA offensive coordinator Jedd Fisch. Expect Arizona to throw the ball a lot. Part of that is because their running game has been pretty anemic. I also think part of that is due to them falling behind and needing to throw more in order to try to catch up.
So, I expect tonight’s game to be tougher than last week’s game on the road against the Sun Devils and, if the UCLA defense doesn’t come to play, it could even get ugly, but the Bruins should take care of business tonight.
Let’s look at the game time weather forecast.
Game Time Weather Forecast
Following last weekend’s end of daylight savings time, it will be a chilly evening in Pasadena tonight. Expect it to be in the mid 50s for kickoff with a slight breeze. The temperature will drop a few degrees to be about 52° around halftime and will drop a few more degrees down to 50° by the end of the second half.

I'm struggling to think of a worst first half. Maybe against S. Alabama?
Had them on the ropes and then lets them score. Wow...
U
C!
L!
A!
UCLA Fight! Fight! Fight!
Bo Nix hurt late in the fourth, and now U Dub tied with Ducks with minute and a half to go in game.
Watching 3 different games and just tuned back into the OU U Dub game. Wow!
U Dub in red zone now. They can stall and kick FG for the win.
He made it
Oh! Nix back in game
Yup but another player is hurt now
U Dub ahead 37 - 34; Ducks get ball back with 51 seconds to go.
U Dub playing the game that we should have
I didn't realize how much these to teams hate each other. ESPN did a thing on it during Game Day morning.
wow. Any time the Pac12 has a contender for the playoffs, another Pac12 team kills those dreams.... Still true!
Truth^^^
Suspicious injury time-out by the Ducks smdh
Just said that here...
Game started on FS2
3 and out-- let's go, Defense!!!
Nice run, DTR
Yay! Charbonnet in game! :-)
We went 3 and out as well...
Another slow start
Dammit, D, let's go!!!
This game concerns me. Focus , Bruins!
We haven't been behind in first quarter in awhile, I think
We are going backwards
Nice run, son
Bailed out by Charbs!
Arizona came to play!
OMG this defense is killing me
Not looking good
Horrendous start.
Does Bill McGovern's absence affect the defense that much? 3rd straight game he's not calling plays.
Why isn't he calling? Is he still sick or what?
He’s not calling the offense. Equally putrid.
WTF!
This is getting scary-bad; we need a spark on offense to right this ship
Uh oh. Time to focus. We need to answer right now.
We need to score on this drive
Bad.... defense.... really .... bad
Yes! Nice run, son!!
We need to keep this rhythm going
DTR was lucky on that fumble-- he needs to take better care of the ball.
You cannot stop Charbonnet; you can only hope to contain him!
Nice!!
bummer! StatBroadcast not working atm
Alas it is not
Working now :-)
Where is the defense tonight?
AZ QB is 8 for 9 against our D for 85 yds so far, in case you were wondering
Arm tackling.... increasingly I see us grabbing at the runner, not wrapping up and driving. Sometimes not even getting to runner.
Sack!
OMG are you kidding me with that punt?? How lucky can a bounce get??
Doesn't get much better than that
Nice run, son!
Touchdown, Bruins!! DTR to Habermehll!
That was beautiful!
Momentum definitely on our side!
I love DTR, but maybe he can turn the clowning/taunting down just a notch, eh? Beautiful pass.
Agreed.
We are still missing many tackles on defense
Same conversation at our house
Seriously, we just reach out at the runner... and let them go.
Perfect description, HB
Lack of talent?
It seems like it's more fundamentals at this stage; how can you not have honed the tackling craft by college?
The defense has forgotten how to tackle. It is ridiculous.
It's embarrassing!
Freakin' defense smh
Why didn't Chip call a timeout there?
Is McGovern still remote coaching? If so, Bruins needs to make a change because it's not working. If he is back, we still need a good DC.
Pendergast is coordinating
Jones limping after that reception
At least Charbonnet still picking up chunk yardage
Good 2 minute offense so far
