This afternoon’s game will reveal whether the UCLA really is one of the best in the country or if it has just looked that way because no one really challenged the Bruin secondary. Washington State quarterback Cameron Ward is averaging the third-most passing yards per game in the country. If the Bruins can shut him down, they may have a shot of winning the final Pac-12 title. If they don’t, the rest of the season could be a long one.
The Bruins are a 3.5-point favorite heading into today’s game. Personally, I find this odd considering that the UCLA pass defense hasn’t been tested the way they will be today. But that’s not the strangest thing about the odds for today’s game. The Over/Under for today is just 59.0 points. Call it Battered Bruin Syndrome if you must, but I want to see the pass defense of the Bruins go up against an elite quarterback before I expect them to avoid covering the over on the own first today. I do think UCLA wins today, but I’m also on board for a shootout. Take the Bruins and the over today. The waaaaaaaaay over!
Let’s look at the game time weather forecast.
Game Time Weather Forecast
So, you thought we were going to avoid a hot day game this year because we kicked off late against Coastal Carolina? WRONG!
It is going to be really hot this afternoon at the Rose Bowl. Look for it to be sunny and about 88° at kickoff. And for those of you for whom that’s not hot enough, expect the temperature to go up a few degrees to about 92° around halftime. So, head for the shade on the concourse or in the tunnels! Though you may want to head for the exits if the game is a blowout because it will still be in the low 90s by the end of the second half.

Good afternoon G! Gorgeous day here in Utah, and hoping there's a live stream somewhere besides pac12 as my little area has been left out of the big providers list. This is a sentimental game, imho, since we likely won't play the cougs for a few ions. Go Bruins!!!
Watch the replay from behind Dante. He could have gotten the ball deeper over the defense. Maybe still not the best choice but it wouldn't have ended up like that.
UCLA, that's a given, lol. But the irony is - DTR was so f'ing quick sometimes. Zip, zip, away from the pressure. Moore sometimes looks like he is sleepwakng.
This is the best D at least since the Myles Jack team. And given this offense I am not sure we win more than 6-7 games. Frustrating. Too bad we didn't have this D with last year's O.

UCLA Fight! Fight! Fight!
Good afternoon, Bruin fam! Let's Go!!

Hello Tamara. Go Bruins.
Hi Terry, great to see you!
Great to see you & Terry & Jeffro! Let's have a great day!
Good to be here!
Good afternoon Greg. Good to have you with us.
Good Afternoon! Good Morning!
Hello Bruin Fam!!! I believe Dante Moore will have a great game!!! Go Bruins! 💛💙
Here’s to a great start especially by ou DB’s and Dante! Go Bruins.
3rd and 4, left's go defense!
Great stop,
Good pressure! Nice start, defense!
(It's so weird to say that ;-). )
Excellent.
Luck on our side on that one.
Not trucking your own punt returner doesn't seem like something you'd have to tell your team
You don't see that often...
Ugh...
Completely misread that. Not a good sign... too casual, not seeing the field
TE got blasted into Dante who was falling as he released the ball. Pass protection failure.
Disagree. The coverage was there. He never should have thrown it.
Watch the replay from behind Dante. He could have gotten the ball deeper over the defense. Maybe still not the best choice but it wouldn't have ended up like that.
Got run into, but not a good choice- looked like 4 defenders there
our o line seems non existent
oh no
Nice D.
Great stop. Good thing our D is on top of game.
Our D looks legit like one of the best in the conference between the Utah game and the first two WSU drives.
It sucks we have absolutely no pass protection and our O is suffering
Early interception - changed Utah game. Early interception to this WSU team, that may be better than us.
Can't believe we didn't return the favor on the dropped pick near the goal line. Two head-scratching throws by both QBs.
Defense is looking good so far - let’s hope they can keep it up. Need to get the offense rolling
We really just need to get our ground game going. That'll open up the passes to settle Moore down
Good to move the pocket there
Agreed. Need to make things easier for Dante to get him in the flow.
That was a nice play-action pass; hope that lets offense settle down and play their game
Finally a boot!
Nice run, son!
Finally.
I like how we are surgically moving the ball down the field
Moving the ball. Great to see.
💯
Keep moving the chains
Wow, Brown, that was just embarrassing smdh
Terrible spot by ref!
Some balls hit you between the numbers...
gutty call on 4th down
Phew, don't dance in the backfield there, Steele. Go get that yard
Nice to go quickly on 4th
I need to see TJ in this game; it's this kinda game plan where we need his speed and elusiveness
Offense in a good rhythm with that 4th down conversion. Steele running really well right now
minority report: Moore is TOO casual sometimes, looks slow
Getting some momentum.
Like that play, his feet are really slow
Not getting much help from his line
UCLA, that's a given, lol. But the irony is - DTR was so f'ing quick sometimes. Zip, zip, away from the pressure. Moore sometimes looks like he is sleepwakng.
yeah, I see that...
Frustrating
crap...
We need to be able to make those FGs at this level
He's a walk-on, right?
Wasted drive
Yep. 😞
Ditto
Great D!
He really committed to that facemask lol
Lucky that wasn't 6
Latu sack!
Darn
Keep it up.

Well said.
fumble-- our ball!!
Fumble!!!
Man I hope he wasn't down...
Yeah, that's our ball!!!
Yes!!!
