Today, UCLA needs to show that last week’s performance wasn’t a fluke.
The Utes are a 3.5-point favorite despite being the road team. In last week’s game thread, I mentioned that, normally, home field advantage usually accounts for about a 3-point advantage for the home team and, just like last week, this game is being played at the Rose Bowl where UCLA hasn’t really had much of a home field advantage this season. Like last week, I think this point spread is way too low. Barring another phenomenal game by the UCLA defense, I expect Utah to win today’s game easily. Then again, I thought the same thing last week and we know what happened.
Hopefully, the same Bruin team which showed up last week shows up again today.
Let’s look at the game time weather forecast.
Game Time Weather Forecast
The weather for today’s game looks like another Chamber of Commerce day in Pasadena.
Expect it to be a warm 86° at the Rose Bowl for kickoff. The temperature should climb to about 89° around halftime before slipping back to about 87° in the fourth quarter.

TuneIn.com now has UCLA’s football games listed as “premium” content. So, rather than using TuneIn, you can just listen through the official website like we have done with the small sports for a long time in order to listen to Josh Lewin, Matt Stevens and Wayne Cook call today’s game instead of Tim Brando and Spencer Tillman on Fox. So, be sure to right-click on it so that you can open up another tab and have it going while you chat in the comments below. Listen to today’s game online.

Reminds me of being back in Donahue era. We were expected to be competitive and became the season-making team for many teams. But we did succeed quite often. Today is a strange feeling.
Contenders, but after decades of watching late season collapses by Toledo, Dorrell, and Mora when the team started off good, coupled with years of mediocre football, I'm holding my enthusiasm in check.
If Chip can deliver a ranking inside the top 10 and carry it into the USC game, I'll be all the way onboard for the first time in decades.
It's a picture perfect day to watch the Bruins play the Utes in a hugely important game at the Rose Bowl. Did the fans show up or will it be another embarrassingly low attendance number?
Charbonnet had 3 yds and 6 yds on previous runs; why not just pound it up the middle with him for an easy yard? Like that play better than the keeper which they obviously were expecting. We have a bruiser-- let's take advantage of that!
That just puts another bullseye on us.
Better to be taken seriously than looked over for the next game.

Contenders or pretenders? Would love a big win on my birthday. GO Bruins!
Happy Bday, AB!! Don't know if we can give you that birthday gift, however :-)
There’s a reason they play the games. Recent history be damned!
Let's go!!!
Happy birthday! Go Bruins!
Happy Birthday, Army Bruin!

Mora’s teams collapsed as soon as classes started.
Here go
Kickoff moved to 12:45 pm

kickoff! Let's see which D came to play today.
Crap! Churchwell down after first play of game; he made the tackle
Can't believe they ran on 3rd and medium! Thanks, Utes!!
Definitely a head scratcher but I will take it.
Good stop
Open up the playbook Chip!
Charbonnet just *bulldozed that Ute!!
Doesn't look like more than 40,000 present... hard to understand. Allen is going to have a big game.
OMG you gotta catch that!!
We cannot afford to keep making these stupid mistakes! Utes too damn good -_-
Dropped pass and a penalty. Need to clean that up.
SACK!!
Sack!
Yay, sack! Happy Saturday, Bruins!
I'm glad they're dropping easy ones as well
Let’s try this again
2 stops on D. Good sign. Now let's move the ball on offense.
TBH we benefited from a stupid play call and a dropped pass. Jury is still out on our D IMHO
Historically, Utah would already have scored twice on us....baby steps.
The D is a definite upgrade from Azzinaro. Whether it’s good enough remains to be seen.
Charbonnet looking good today!
3 and out

Oh please no let's not get that idea into the aether! Chip may somehow hear you!
Totally agree. Getting too cute on that play.
Good play call on 3rd. Better defense by Utes
Suck eggs!
Our punt coverage could use some help.
Punt coverage not good
Who called this as a defensive battle?
We were sooo close to a sack on that play!
How are you watching the game? You are 30 seconds ahead of what I see on Fox
OMG I'm sorry! I'm also watching on Fox. I'll try to shut up for 30 seconds then, cuz don't want to ruin the game for you guys!
Thanks for letting me know :-)
HD feed is usually behind the SD feed. Any streaming is always delayed.
Wow, ute just dropped a sure TD pass-- whew!!!
Whew! Too close!
F yeah!
INT!!!
Picked off
Great read and pick on that last pass play!
Let's go, Bruins!!!
Yeah! Great D!
Yes!!
Let's go offense...time to move!
Targeting on the Bruins again??
WTF
Shit, that targeting wasn't even a necessary hit -_-
Losing Blaylock hurts
Leading defender now gone. This totally sucks.
Damn lost Churchwell, now Blaylock
Great catch and run-- let's go!!
OL doing their job on this drive
Pass protection has really improved this year
Yay, go Bruins!
Moving the ball now!
Up the gut!
Our O-line is feeling it!!!
