Yeah, we were focusing a lot on him in the second half but he wasn't getting any help from his run game or OL, and the defense got pretty porous on their side. He played well. Not sure if Griffin would have been much different but I don't think we can really pinpoint the second half slump all on DTR at all.
We were getting abused at the line and running Keegan Jones. Once the D had to account for Felton, we had success. We ran 63 plays in the game. 39 of those were either DTR passing or DTR running. Then, there were a few options where he pitched. I like Griffin, but he’s more of a game manager. Tonight required a playmaker. Tonight required DTR.
So stupid. Take a knee and don’t give an ASU offense (which has been ripping through your defense) a chance with more than a minute to go. And You know you should have taken a knee when defense pulling you into the end zone. Much better chance of kicking an easy field goal than stopping ASU offense.
