UCLA Women's Volleyball Looks to Close Out Home Schedule with Wins over Oregon State
The Bruins look to get back on track after losing to a bad Southern Cal team on Sunday.

The UCLA women’s volleyball will play its final home series of the season this weekend against the Oregon State Beavers. Tonight, the teams will meet at 6 pm PT and the match will be live streamed.
Last Time Out
On Sunday, the Bruins dropped their second match against Southern Cal in five sets, 25-27, 23-25, 25-14, 25-21, 11-15.
The first set went into extra points, but the Bruins probably should have won it. With the score 18-17, Southern Cal, UCLA went on a 7-1 run that put the Bruins on the verge of taking the set. Unfortunately, the Trojans fought off five straight set points to tie it 24-24. From there, Southern Cal had their first set point at 25-24, but the Bruins tied it back up. A pair of kills from the Trojans ended the first set, 27-25.
After Southern Cal took the second set 25-23, the Bruins came back and ran away with the third set, 25-14. The fourth set was quite a bit closer but, with the score tied 17-17, UCLA went on a 4-0 to take the lead for good and they tied the match with a 25-21 win.
Unfortunately, the Trojans started the fourth set with a 4-1 run and UCLA just couldn’t catch up as they had a tough time scoring on consecutive points. As a result, Southern Cal went on to win the set, 15-11, and the match, 3-2.
Oregon State Beavers
Tonight, Oregon State comes to town and they shouldn’t be much of a match for UCLA. That’s because the Beavers are in 10th place in the Pac-12 with a 5-11 record. Of course, a team’s record doesn’t take into account future performance, but it’s a pretty good indicator and that indicator suggests a Bruin sweep tonight.
