UCLA Men's Hoops: Bruins To Play in First Four vs. Michigan State
The Bruins were one of the last four teams into this year's NCAA Tournament after finishing the season on a four-game skid.
UCLA ended the season on what has to be considered the lowest note possible. The Bruins lost four games in a row to each of the other four Pac-12 schools who made this year’s NCAA Tournament — Colorado, Oregon, Southern Cal, and Oregon State.
As a result, UCLA will be an 11 seed in the East if they can beat the Michigan State Spartans on Thursday night at 6 pm PT.
That gives Coach Mick Cronin just a few more days to figure out how to prevent the Bruins from collapsing against a team that beat them by 13 points at the beginning of the Cronin era last season.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. The NCAA Selection Committee sure seems to have a sense of humor when Selection Sunday rolls around. This year, it appears was no exception.
Should the Bruins survive and advance Thursday, UCLA will play 6 seed BYU on Saturday.
Go Bruins!
