As a season ticket holder for 25 years, I learned to enjoy the losses as well as the wins. The team is sorely testing me over the last 7 years though...
Inherent in the decision to move to the B1G was a commitment to participate in "big boy" football - to take it as seriously as those in the peer group we were choosing to join. While I remain convinced that Block would not allow Jarmond to commit to a new football coach before a new Chancellor was named - if he indeed wanted to - before chip bailed at the worst possible time, and the hiring of Foster was trying to make chicken salad out of what's at the bottom of the coop, we have reached the point of seeing whether we are going to live up to that implied commitment or not. Foster is clearly way over his skis - I'm not saying it's easy to replace a coach mid-season, let alone early season, but the rot can't be allowed to continue. A Friday night against the New Mexico players who weren't good enough to be taken to Utah - I can't imagine there won't be the smallest Rose Bowl crowd in program history (I'll be one of them) - I hope those who make decisions see what's happening as clearly as those of us who love the program enough to attend, post, and still care. Go Bruins
This is how I feel. And I hope Frenk learned enough from Miami to understand why having a strong football program is so important for every other sport.
At the same time, if Martin needs to be let go too if he can’t be forceful enough to convince his bosses that that’s the right decision.
Bruin alumni living in Miami. The one silver lining in the slow asphyxiation of the football program is Frenk. When he became aware of what happened to Miami's football program (from a Kirk Herbstreit exposé) he acted. He brought in a new AD, a new coach, beat the bushes for donations and reenergized the fanbase and now you're seeing the results. I must say though, it's a shame this is happening under Foster. Not only is he a good Bruin, but, his success as a RB coach was leading to bigger things like becoming an OC and possibly a HC. Even though the cupboard was left bare, there's no excuse for the constant penalties and lack of tackling. These are the type of coaching performances that strangle careers in their infancy, unfortunately, if things don't turn around there has to be a clean sweep at the end of the season.
P.S - I had a couple of classes with Foster when we were students

I had a great night last night. Surprised my wife with tickets to see Leann Morgan in Dallas for her birthday. We laughed all night!

Cupboard was left bare? A lot of players from the 8-5 2023 team stayed.
This team is a joke.
