Ooh, that hit the base - that's why she couldn't field that one. Keep it going!

wtf. If that's an infield fly, the runner is safe at third because they never tagged her.

Bad base running. Goes back to poor coaching.

The third base coach totally f'd that up!

Apparently, the UCLA coaching staff didn't emphasize not making mental errors after South Carolina made a similar mistake last weekend.

Pretty sure that's Lisa Fernandez who should know better.

You're right, it is Lisa Fernandez. But in her defense no player on the field knew that was an infield fly either (at least no one played it like it was an infield fly). But yeah, she should have picked up on that quicker.

Ugh! Mental error abandoning third base ends the Bruin rally.

Worse, if she had stayed in the baseline and touched home, she would have scored.

Exactly. And the third base coach had to be telling her about that. The runner may not have known it was an infield fly as she thought she was forced out at third.

The Tennessee third baseman didn't know it was an infield fly either because she thought that was a force out too.

One has to wonder how clearly the umpires called that infield fly. None of the coaches or players played that like it was an infield fly.

Oof, great catch but awful communication. Got lucky we didn't drop that.

More mental mistakes on the outfield catch. Looks more like hero ball instead of team play.

Team look like South Carolina after we came back on them. It's like yesterday's game broke their confidence.
