UCLA Moves Into Top Ten in Both Polls
During "Improvement Week", the Bruins improved to 9th in the AP Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll.
While the UCLA Bruins did not play yesterday, it didn’t stop the Bruins from moving into the Top 10 in both the AP Poll and the Coaches Poll.
The Bruins are now ranked 9th in the AP Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll due to losses by Southern Cal and Penn State.
Georgia solidified their claim to being the top team in the nation by taking over the top spot in the Coaches Poll. Ohio State moved up to number two in the Coaches Poll and is now ranked second in both polls. After losing to Tennessee, Alabama fell to sixth in both polls while the Vols jumped to third in the AP Poll and fourth in the Coaches Poll. Michigan rounds out the top four teams by ranking fourth in the AP Poll and third in the Coaches Poll.
A week after taking the fourth spot in the AP Poll, Clemson slipped to fifth in both polls. Ole Miss moved up two spots to seventh in both polls. TCU was one of the big movers of the week following their win over Oklahoma State, jumping to eighth in each poll after being 13th in the AP and 15th in the Coaches Poll last week.
With the Bruins ranked 9th in the AP Poll and 10th in the Coaches Poll, Oregon also moved up two spots to 10th in the AP Poll and 9th in the Coaches Poll, setting up na Top Ten matchup on Saturday. With the win over Southern Cal, Utah moved to 15th in both polls while Southern Cal fell to 12th in both polls. No other Pac-12 schools are ranked.
After losing to Michigan, Penn State fell to 16th in both polls while the only other ranked Big Ten school Illinois moved up to 18th in the AP Poll and entered the Coaches Poll at 20.
Here’s the complete Top 25 from both polls:
Now that this week’s polls are out, we can say what was expected to happen: UCLA’s next game against the Oregon Ducks is officially a Top Ten match up, even though both teams had yesterday off. The Bruins will visit Eugene on Saturday for a 12:30 pm PT kickoff and the game will air on either Fox or FS1.
Go Bruins!!!

That's taking "Improvement Week" very literally.
Rare air, Bruins. Don't let down.
Washington was the biggest game of Chips tenure as coach, then Utah was the biggest game, and now Oregon is the biggest moment. It’s going to be tough to beat the ducks at home. Like the last 2 weeks I’m going in just hoping UCLA plays a tough game and keeps it close, not predicting a win. We’ll certainly know a lot more after this week.
