After a pretty miserable week, we sure could use some good news. Women's Bball had a great road win today at Arkansas. Good luck to our MWP team today. Go Bruins!!
This is typical UCLA Athletics. Cal hadn't beaten UCLA all year long, except for today's championship game that is. UCLA took a 1-0 lead and that's the last time the Bruins led in the match. This was held at USC, so I don't think the Chipster (OG) was there, but I'm sure Martin Jarmond was stopping by to check up with the Trogans to see if they are satisfied with their new defensive coordinator.
I was, of course, being facetious about the Chipster [OG] -- as you like to call him. WP has a soft spot in my heart because it a "B" or "C" ticket ride (or however that worked) back in the day on campus. The admission was free "up the hill" (and cheap date) by Dykstra, Hedrick, and the other boarding student Stalags.
It's quite astounding to visit the site; you cannot believe the number of NCAA banners hanging up there! Makes Pauley look like some JC in Modesto or something. Bruin WP really kicks ass!
Anyway, I got a grandkid -- Liam or WHP IV -- who was serious re WP and I took him to watch the Bruin but the first time I did not know where I was going, so Joe was kind enough to guide out journey and it was from there that Liam decided on..
..volleyball! (He's now at Loyola of Chicago redshirting for the Ramblers and going through their 5-year MBA program.) Always grateful to Joe P for his courtesy giving me help finding the venue. This is one nice collection of Bruin fans here.
I know you were just being facetious about the Chipster (OG), but both the Chipster (OG) and Martin Jarmond are now a fatal cancer to UCLA Athletics and as we can see, the cancer is spreading.

Sigh, but utterly predictably, #1 UCLA loses 13-11 in the championship.
..to Cal no less. Did anyone see Chip Kelly at poolside?

Thoroughly agree, BB, thoroughly agree.
