It has been another great season for the UCLA Men’s Water Polo team. The Bruins have won 25 of 27 games, with their first loss coming against Stanford on October 5 and they didn’t lose again until they played Southern Cal in the MPSF Championship Game. They did beat the Trojans in the first three meetings between the teams before losing that fourth game against them.
Losing only twice during the season earned the Bruins the top seed in the NCAA Tournament. UCLA defeated the Salem Tigers in the First Round, 22-6, on Friday. Then, they topped Stanford, 17-14, yesterday in the Semifinals.
Meanwhile, Southern Cal defeated Cal Baptist on Friday, 17-13. The Trojans then beat Fordham in the other Semifinal yesterday, 18-16, to set up today’s championship game between the crosstown rivals.
