Spaulding Report: UCLA Football Week Six Media Interviews
We've gathered all the coach and player interviews for you in one place ahead of today's Utah game.
Let’s take a look at what’s been getting said at this week’s UCLA football media sessions. Like we have so far this season, I’m just going to share these here all in the same place to make it easy for you, our readers, to watch them if you haven’t already. All the videos in this article are courtesy of UCLA Athletics on YouTube with the exception of Sunday’s Chip Kelly interview.
Due to the short week, it looks like the media sessions shifted from the typical Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday schedule to a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday schedule.
On Monday, Chip Kelly spoke about the job the Bruin defense did against “what was the best passing offense in the country.” He also discussed what it’s going to take to beat Utah. Kelly said:
We know if we're going to be Utah it's going to be because of our preparation during the week. Things don't just happen to you. Hope isn't a strategy. You’ve got to put the work in and, so far, these guys have done that.
With the team back on its regular schedule, Kelly also met with the media on Wednesday as well and he touched on why Utah, in general, and the Utah defense, specifically, is as good as it is.
Moving to the player interviews, the week began with DTR and Gabriel Murphy on Monday.
Kam Brown and Mo Osling II were interviewed on Tuesday.
Then, Bo Calvert wrapped up the pregame interviews on Thursday by talking about playing against his two brothers who play for Utah.
That wraps up this week’s media interviews. UCLA plays Utah today at the Rose Bowl starting at 12:30 pm PT.
