UCLA Football Week One Media Interviews

Let’s take a quick peek at what’s been getting said at this week’s UCLA football press conferences. I’m just going to share these here all in the same place to make it easy for our readers to watch them if you haven’t already.

The week started off with Chip Kelly addressing the media on Monday.

On Tuesday, new defensive coordinator Bill McGovern met with the media. That’s the second time since camp began that he did that, meaning that he’s met two more times with the media before the season starts than Jerry Azzinaro did during his entire four years in Westwood.

The coaches’ media availability for the week wrapped up with Chip Kelly speaking again on Wednesday.

As for the players, Dorian Thompson-Robinson and Jake Bobo started the week off on Monday.

Then, on Tuesday, Stephan Blaylock, the dean of the secondary, was the only player up.

This week’s media availability concluded on Wednesday with offensive lineman Jon Gaines II and senior linebacker Bo Calvert.

It’s pretty amazing to see how much bigger Calvert has gotten during his time in Westwood.

That wraps up this week’s media interviews. UCLA kicks off the 2022 season at 11:30 am tomorrow at the Rose Bowl.
