UCLA Football Recruiting: 4-Star QB Justyn Martin Commits to Bruins
The quarterback from Inglewood High School has a strong arm.
The 2022 UCLA football recruiting class picked up a big recruit today when four-star quarterback Justyn Martin announced that he will be coming to Westwood next Fall. Martin is currently a senior at Inglewood High School.
Martin, who chose UCLA over Ole Miss and Michigan, made his annoucement on CBS Sports HQ.
Martin has good size for a quarterback. He is 6’4” tall and weighs 210 pounds, according to his Hudl profile. But what really stands out on his video highlights is his arm.
His sophomore highlights from when he was a student at Serra HS in Gardena really show off his arm strength.
Martin isn’t a one-dimensional quarterback either. He has the ability to run the ball if needed as well. His junior year highlight video contains footage of him using his legs for big gains.
As if all of that isn’t enough, it’s worth noting that playing in the Rose Bowl probably won’t faze Martin. After all, last season, Inglewood played Bishop Muir in the Rose Bowl and he appears to have played well. Inglewood won that game by a score of 70-14. If he can do that every game at the Rose Bowl, it would be a vast improvement compared to last weekend’s UCLA game. Hey! One can hope!
Greg Biggins of 247Sports has an article discussing Martin’s commitment. He quotes Martin:
UCLA was my dream school growing up. I’ve always liked UCLA so this is an incredible opportunity for me.
He continued:
I still remember how excited my parents were when I called up when I got the UCLA offer and this is a definitely an exciting moment for all of us. I loved the campus and have been up there a few times now including my recent official trip. It really is a dream come true for me and I can't wait to be a Bruin.
And, Bruin fans can’t wait for Martin to be a Bruin as well.
Go Bruins!!!

It’s sad that this kid’s name is now associated with the most classless win in CA high school football history. Not really his fault—it’s on the coach.
I mean that’s hard to do even without an opponent in the field right?
