Interesting reference regarding JP Losman. He was a highly recruited QB from Venice High School. I’m next door in Santa Monica and it was well known at the time that one or both of his parents were problematic, which is not unusual in youth sports. And, when JP didn’t win the job, it apparently alienated the parents and led to the transfer.

If HC Fisch is at or near the top of the UCLA HC candidates list, then look for boxes of jelly donuts to be presented to him after the game. If interim HC Skipper should somehow pull off an upset of the Huskies, look for the Bruins to steal those jelly donuts and enjoy them in their locker room. In any case, last chance for the fire-the-AD banner to fly over the Rose Bowl if this turns out to be the final Bruins home game there.

No Jedd! Too much of a used car salesmen. I have a lot of intel on Fisch. Hopefully UCLA will beat the fuskies this weekend and put an end to his candidacy.

Alternatively, a UCLA win might elevate interim HC Skipper to be higher on the HC candidates list, especially given the recent NIL funding corruption and general dysfunction of the football program, which may cause other HC prospects to prioritize job openings elsewhere. I think hiring a familiar face and chipper guy to remain as the UCLA HC would be the cheapest, easiest, and laziest option for the jelly donut AD and his fellow HC search committee members and doubt they would have to fend off any other schools for his services. If so, a season-ending upset of U$C at the Mausoleum may potentially seal the deal for the interim HC to remain at UCLA.
