Apropos of nothing, when we travelled to Happy Valley last season to watch our Bruins, walking around before the game we were invited into a large tailgate by a group of Penn State fans, one of the organizers of which turned out to be Dom DeLuca's Dad... they, and most of the other fans (not just the friends/family/boosters of the program at that tailgate) we met before and after the game were among the coolest fans we've met travelling (unlike, say, Oklahoma) so hopefully for those of us going, the atmosphere at the Rose Bowl, at least on the golf course, will be fun/not obnoxious, even if the game itself is going to be a disaster...
I am looking forward to seeing what a truly great football team looks like... Penn State also rose from the ashes and their problems were horrific so there's that to ponder...
On a bright note for Jelly 2.0... He will widely claim how the Rosebowl is BACK with all the seats overflowing with BLUE as he reads the room filled with NAVY.
Now with his BLUE OUT firmly embraced in his heart as a huge success beyond his wildest dreams, he will enter Morgan on Monday with an ever greater love of himself and his intrinsic genius.
And that is where we stand in the empty halls of history.
Yeah, the concept of a Blue Out is just embarrassing atm. Maybe fill some seats first. I think Joe did a piece on the Rose Bowl contract and the difficulty of moving, but maybe this needs to be looked at. Maybe not even Sofi, but share the LA Galaxy stadium?
And to continue the ‘tone deaf’ theme, UCLA Athletics just dropped a video of the donor trip to Chicago. Watching it you’d think everything is sunshine and blue sky. 🤦♂️
