Spaulding Report: UCLA Football Week Four Media Interviews
As you wait for today's game to kickoff, we've gathered all of this week's UCLA Football interviews for you in one place.
Let’s take a quick peek at what’s been getting said at this week’s UCLA football press conferences. I’m just going to share these here all in the same place to make it easy for our readers to watch them if you haven’t already. The videos in this article are courtesy of UCLA Athletics on YouTube unless noted otherwise.
On Monday, UCLA head coach Chip Kelly spoke about how the team was preparing for the possibility that Utah could play multiple quarterbacks including Cam Rising if he is healthy enough to play. He also addressed a few questions about last Saturday’s game against NCCU.
On Wednesday, Chip discussed how injuries can change during the course of a week and he cited an example of Alec Anderson during the Utah week two years ago. He was also asked about the two-week suspension of a Southern California News Group beat writer by Southern Cal. Kelly seemed to enjoy the thought of suspending a reporter a little too much for those reporters in attendance.
Moving to the players, Kam Brown and Duke Clemens met with the media on Monday. Brown spoke about what it was like to score his first touchdown of the year last week. Clemens discussed playing at Rice-Eccles Stadium along with Dante Moore’s progress so far.
On Wednesday, the defense was up with Kain Medrano and Gary Smith III. Medrano spoke about going on the road and how the team deals with hostile crowds. Meanwhile, Gary Smith spoke about how the noise doesn’t really bother him.
Finally, Logan Loya met with the media on Wednesday. He is excited to see what Dante Moore can do on the road against a tough opponent.
That wraps up this week’s media interviews. UCLA visits the Utah Utes this afternoon at 12:30 pm PT.
