The 2020 NFL Draft has come to a close and the UCLA Bruins had just one guy drafted. This was a draft in which UCLA had three guys who were all drafted relatively close to each other. Devin Asiasi got things started when he was selected 91st overall by the New England Patriots and he was followed by Darnay Holmes, who was selected 110th by the New York Football Giants, and Josh Kelley, who was selected 112th by the LA Chargers.
There are other Bruins who did not hear their names called over the past three days, but that doesn’t mean that they won’t end up on NFL rosters for training camp. It shouldn’t surprise anyone that several guys could get picked up by NFL teams as undrafted free agents. To some degree, it's probably better for some players to go undrafted. It gives players their choice of which team they choose to sign with and it gives them a chance to evaluate which system they're best suited to, the roster they are trying to make and the city in which they would end up living in.
These signings could include Boss Tagaloa, JJ Molson, and Keisean Lucier-South.
We will be updating this article to include all UCLA UDFA signings below as the UDFA signings are announced.
The first Bruin to sign as an undrafted free agent is Krys Barnes, who has already announced that he is signing with the Green Bay Packers.
Go Bruins!!!
Looks like Tagaloa, KLS, and Molson weren't even signed as UDFA. I didn't necessarily think any of them were good enough to play in the league but I'm surprised the latter two didn't even get picked up.
