Watching Arizona, next weeks game definitely won’t be easy.
UCLA will be the 5th ranked team in a row they played - in their previous 4 they lost to UW by 1 TD, took SC to 3 OTs, and beat Washington St and a highly ranked OSU. Hopefully Bruin defense from today can travel and get good pressure
I haven't seen an aggressive Bruin defense like this in years. Wayne Cook commented about this in the post game broadcast, the Bruins always managed to give up 20 when it was third and 19. An God, do I love those uniforms!
That's the late Dallas Grider recovering the onside kick against Michigan State in the 66 Rose Bowl. Did the same to set up beating SuC a few months earlier. Thanks for posting!
Tell me about that game... one of the things I enjoy about this blog and the reason I got my wife’s permission to pay for the membership (lol) was to hear some of the other bruins talk about the good old days
Well, I'm old enough to have been at both those games in 65 and 66, though only 14. I lived and died with that team lead by the great Gary Beban. Two of the most historic games in Bruin football history. Truly the gutty little Bruins coming back in the 4th quarter with two long bombs against SuC and then holding a tremendous Michigan State team to 12 points and stopping a two-point conversion attempt in the last seconds of the Rose Bowl. Beban, Farr, Grider (obviously my linebacker idol), Donahue, Altenberg, Colletto, Stiles, Witcher, Manning, the Richardsons... yeah, I think I can still name them all by position! And, of course, the great Tommy Prothro!

Not worried about our D. The big question is whether our offense will do enough.

Btw, that video went by so quick on the big screen at the Bowl I was hoping I could find it somewhere on the internet. Saved by Hugo!
