If the Bruins can get out to early leads against the Arizona schools, I wouldn't mind seeing Ethan Garbers getting more snaps under center. Gotta find a way to keep DTR healthy and ready to go for the USC game by limiting his reps and unleashing the running game. It certainly would be nice to see the Bruins take control of these games from the opening kick and getting into the end zone multiple times in the first half. We know Charbonnet moves the chains, but I'd love to see Allen and Jones pound the rock and get 300 yards as a group.

I'm not thrilled seeing DTR go straight to the medical tent multiple times after offensive series. There were too many easy QB knockdowns and sacks by Stanford. I was surprised DTR got up and kept playing after some of the hits he took. Dude is a trooper, but he can only take so many hits before the cumulative effect puts him out of the game.

Protect the QBs, protect DTR, and run the hell out of the football. This should be the theme for the next 2 games.

Joe, my earlier note re "Phearing The Pharme" and predicting a 3-37 avalanche by them over a snoozin' Bruin team was, of course, all in jest. Though, truthfully I was secretly apprehensive.

The radio folks -- I watch on ESPN and listen to 570 Kilocycles AM-- kept underscoring the fact that it was a slow-moving game and the score did not achieve a blowout status. They rightfully proclaimed that The Diminutive Trees' (Palos Pequinitos) 13 points and the Bruins failure to cross over the 40 point level made it appear closer than it was. Nonetheless, it achieved decent rankings.

I look forward to your analysis of the upcoming home-n-home with the 'zonas and believe State to be the more formidable of the two with the Tucson Terrors approaching "Pharmehood" in prowess. This despite AU achieving a similar score versus Oregon as we did.

Go Bruins! Don't know if Bruins are really #10, but they are really good team this year. Some flaws, but good. Not (yet) playoff caliber (hard to realistically compete with the "death stars" of Alabama, Georgia, Ohio State) Next up ... ASU. We're favored by 10 which is close enough to have some legitimate concern. In the end, I think the Bruins offense will too much for them. So glad to see the Bruins absolutely take Furd to the woodshed in the Rose Bowl... Last time was 2008! 14 years since we beat Furd on our own turf.

The countdown is starting. UCLA basketball on Wednesday night. Who here is fired up to see the Bruins take the floor? No doubt in my mind this is going to be a fun season.
