I LOVED his choice to end the game going for two. Champions make those two-pt conversions. (Remember Bush push?)

What I didn't like was running up the middle to retry for the two. The odds of making the two-pt conversion is below average but trying on two consecutive plays must have very poor odds so why push your luck?

On a positive note, I don't think UCLA is scared of Stanford anymore. :)

..well, what's not to like about that succinctly accurate appraisal of our resident millionaire and catering maven. Says it all in four words, seven syllables, thirteen letters.

Bravissimo!

In the 3 years that I went to UCLA, I went to 2 winning Rose Bowls and one we were ranked #5. I always felt we should be not just shooting for Pac 10 Championships, but National Championships. All of these years we have never met my expectations and have instead regressed. When we got Chip, I thought we got the coach that would get us back on track. While more competitive this season, the losses under him pain me badly. But at this point, who else do we get that would get us into the National Championship picture? And that is what we should be shooting for, not replacing him just for the matter of replacing him and get second fiddle.

Forget about aiming for National Championships. We need someone who will make UCLA football relevant in the conference again. Chip Kelly is a dunce!

The last play is made even more ridiculous by the fact that UCLA was in the process of running it up the middle as the replay official inadvertently buzzed down to the field. So, after the brief stoppage, naturally Chip didn’t change the play and ran it up the middle again. There is no end to his arrogant idiocy. Most coaches have special two point plays. Not Chip, he just runs the same handful of obvious plays that opponents and fans expect.

3-9, 4-8, 3-4.....Chip's records from his first three seasons. Anyone see it getting better than 6-6 next year with a really difficult schedule? Fire Chip now. Stretch the buyout.

Jarmond has already said no... He's in a win win... If Chip comes through next year great, if not he can point at the buyout and financial status of UCLA Athletics

Though, I have to note that, usually, the worst thing a coach can have happen is to receive a vote of confidence from his boss (AD, GM, etc.).

Rodney, banking on Chip to "come through" next year when he's proven multiple times since leaving Oregon that he doesn't have it anymore is a pipe dream. Why waste another season or two on Chip Kelly? If COVID subsides next year, you think people will want to buy tickets to see a Chip Kelly shitshow? Chip Kelly and his wastefulness aren't helping the revenue problem! He got everything he said he needed to be successful, and he's failed. Mora had his issues, but I don't see what the point was in firing him if his successor was going to turn the program into dog crap.

The word “banking” is apropos. The bank account is empty. Chip stays. Hoping the old Chip shows up is one of only 2 options at this point. The 2nd is him resigning. Which is the longer shot?

Army, if the bank account is empty, then Jarmond needs to pull the plug on Chip's expensive catering deliveries and all his other "needs" because clearly they're not contributing to wins. If they're not going to be winning big, don't spend extra money!

Army, doubt either will happen. Chip is content to sit on his ass, watching his team lose while collecting a fat check. I could coach UCLA into irrelevancy for way less than Chip Kelly. Jarmond should give me a call if that's what he wants!

Not sure what to make of the fact that UCLA was 3-20 in the first half with DTR at the helm and 31-14 in the second half with Griffin at the helm. Clearly the team came out of halftime with a vengeance but why?

Another brutal loss.

On a couple non Chip notes:

1. Does anyone think Felton will come back? He technically has another year of eligibility because of the NCAA Covid season rule.

2. I thought our D line was exposed last night. Jackson at 275 and Agude at 245 we’re lining up at DT. There were points on the game were we lined up with 3 down lineman against a power run formation. That is not going to get it done. Stanford’s power run game will continue to be a problem unless we get that taken of.

3. I like Chase but don’t know about him as our QB long term. If he didn’t fumble at the end of the fourth we win the game.

4. When we aren’t getting pressure on the QB the pass defense isn’t good.

I think Felton depends on what happens with COVID. If it’s substantially gone he comes back.
