We've now lost to one of the two conceivable "wins" on the season...To Karl Dorrell no less...looking at their schedule and knowing Dorrell, we may be the one win on the season and that says volumes about year three of the Kelly experiment. Sheesh 😣
We all dream of improvement, but....realistically, the continued weaknesses in both the offensive and defensive lines will continue to doom UCLA to scrambling shootouts that they’re mostly destined to lose. After losing Murray and Burton, Rhyan is the only guy on the OL who could start at any other PAC12 school; and the D line continues to include the same guys who still can’t stop the run or rush the passer. One advantage we should have had was having one of the few returning starting QBs in the conference, but DTR continues to be melange of great plays mixed with confounding, careless mistakes; when you are outplayed by a converted safety, well.....
Glad the guys are at least getting a chance to play, but....until UCLA can recruit and develop linemen, expectations should remain very low.
I'm troubled that Chip said he wasn't focused on outcomes, but the process. WTF? The outcome is the score. That's what counts... not the improvement/slide before the outcome.
Well I can sort of see where he's going with that philosophy, because John Wooden rarely talked about wins and losses but instead talked about playing to one's potential, believing that was the target and if his team could approach that, the Ws and Ls would take care of themselves.
It's a fine principle if that potential is high, and I do recognize the absurdity of comparing Coach Wooden and Chip Kelly. If Kelly's team's potential hovers around 4 turnovers, 9 penalties, a delay after game coming out of a TV timeout, a 4th and a half run up the middle from shotgun, a defense which looks as porous as last year, and a QB who is as cold as he is hot, then his focus on process isn't enough.

Exactly what I was thinking
Chip Kelly sucks!

At least with a hangover there are several remedies you can take. Three years of whatever you want to call this experiment seems unending!
Our defense is terrible while offense makes too many mistakes. Same old Chip Kelly Bruins.
I truly believed we were going to turn it around this year. Maybe I was wrong.

Welcome to the new site, Lisa!
missed you!
Chip is a clown. You shouldn't be shocked.
