UCLA Football Enters Top 25 Polls
After Friday night's win over Washington, the voters in both the AP and the Coaches Poll have shown the Bruins some respect.
UCLA Football is ranked in the Top 25 polls this week for the first time since September 2021 following the Bruins’ big win on Friday over the University of Washington.
The Bruins have entered the AP Poll at 18 and the Coaches Poll at 19.
Washington fell from 15 to 20 in the AP Poll and from 18 to 24 in the Coaches Poll.
There’s a new number one team in both polls as Alabama has swapped spots with Georgia in both. Meanwhile, Big Ten schools Ohio State and Michigan are ranked third and fourth in both polls, respectively.
Other Pac-12 schools in Top 25 include Utah, UCLA’s next opponent, at 11 as well as Oregon which is ranked 12th in both polls. Southern Cal was slotted in at sixth in both polls.
Looking to the future, the only other Big Ten school in this week’s polls is Penn State, which is ranked 10th in both.
Here’s the complete Top 25 from both polls:
UCLA’s next home game will be on Saturday, October 8, 2022 and will feature the #18 Bruins against the #11 Utah Utes at 12:30 pm PT on Fox.
Go Bruins!!!

We need to get out as much word as possible for fans to show on Saturday. We need a big crowd. I just bought 4 tickets and are encouraging all Bruin fans I know to go. Let's be loud and proud.
Meanwhile, NOT in the Top 25, Colorado found a way to fire Karl Dorrell and their DC as well. I guess that tweet the AD sent out a couple weeks ago found its way to a deep pocketed booster.
I do feel badly for Dorrell as he was a great Bruin player and I root for our alums to succeed, but he's shown he's just not a good head coach for a major college program. I hope he finds a good gig as a WR or other position coach, probably back in the NFL.
