It will be a long season for UCLA football in the BIG 10. Fortunate to beat Hawaii. Needs big improvement to win 3 games this year--especially the offense (OL) which had only 71 yards .
While it's a year when a "w" is probably going to be a "W", was pleased to see a come-back attitude in the second half by the offense, and the D played well the whole game against a good wide open offense. A lot is going to depend on Garbers and pretty obvious comparing his two halves.
The good: Got the win, actual halftime adjustments and/or coaching seems to have taken place as Garbers settled in and we did better against the run and shoot, and the FG percentage was above last year's .470
The bad: FG percentage had to be 1.000 since the red zone offense still stinks, not being prepared to match their intensity when the game started (they openly said it was "the biggest game for [their] program since the 2008 Sugar Bowl"), the 1st half offense
The ugly: the OLine is no where near ready for what it's going to face...
Agree with Baller - thank goodness we have 14 days to fix what can be fixed
After watching U$c tonight, it’s obvious Lynn has made an impact on the U$c program. Was the player development described by the way, play-by-play announcers, stolen from (UCLA)? I know Lynn brought a defensive knowledge, but I thought the whole process of developing players was something. (UCLA) had begun a few years ago. Maybe they just never had the coaching to show the impact. I don’t think (UCLA) is at the level of USC at this moment. and I’m not sure if they’re going to reach that level by the end of the season. I think the defensive and offensive coordinator’s have a lot work ahead of them. The physicality shown by U$c tonight reminded me of Ucla last year defensively. The offense is still struggling.

It's good we have a bye week coming up; we have soooo much to work on

I watched the $C game and came away thinking how badly Garbers compares to their QB (and LSU QB).
And he is a fifth year senior.
