What would their potential be if Smith didn't injure his ACL and Hill didn't bail? Final Four?

I wouldn't go that far - the UCLA that started this season would still have had some flaws that needed to be fixed, but they'd probably have entered the NCAA Tournament with a better position than the one they got.

UCLA is starting out as a 5-point favorite over Abilene Christian

Should be an interesting matchup. Abilene won by turning Texas over 20+ times. UCLA usually takes care of the ball pretty well. I like the matchup for the Bruins.

ACU shot 29% from the field and 16% on 3's and still won the game. But they were 18-5 on the offensive rebounds and 23-11 on turnovers. Seems like they simply out hustled Texas. UCLA will need to match their intensity and not turn it over. A grind it out first time to 60 sort of game favors UCLA.

A great win. Riley out early but Nwuba stepped up. Outstanding job by the staff.

Yep, Juzang was burning the net with his hot shooting, and it was Nwuba who was setting the screens to enable many of those shot attempts. A Nwuba screen even enabled Juzang to sprint towards the basket for an offensive putback off a missed baseline jumper by Jaquez. Nwuba didn't need to score to be effective, but he and Riley do need to stay out of foul trouble.

A great win. I love that cronin played his game not byu. I love Clark, but cronin decided shooters were more important with kyman and Singleton getting the minutes off the bench... instead of playing to byu strength he pushed the tempo right back at byu and it worked well..: more crow for me

Don’t be too concerned. At some point, our squad is likely to lose and you can criticize Cronin for it. Until then, you may want to research a good barbecue sauce or Buffalo sauce for crow! ;)

I think he should eat that crow raw, feathers and all.

Meh, UCLA already exceeded my expectations for the tourney when they beat msu. My criticisms can wait until next season and I can give everyone a break from my drivel

And I will need something super spicy for my bbq sauce as well... any recommendations?

Great first 2 rounds for Pac-12. None lost and the 4 wins were all 10+ wins.

This was one of the best games that I didn't see us play, and I'm really happy for the team and even more so for the fans. It's great to not see them play the way we all know is possible. I look forward to not seeing them do it again on Monday. Damn, the Sweet 16 is within reach? This is fun. Go Bruins!!

Hey g....I discovered recording the game did not disrupt any time/space continuum and we still got the desired result. Give it a try!

BYU never led in this game because UCLA finally put together 2 good halves for a solid win. Hard to believe the Bruins were sweating it out on Selection Sunday last week and are now on the verge of winning 3 games in 5 days to get to the Sweet 16. They can't overlook ACU, though. ACU plays good defense (#1 in the nation in defensive turnover rate) and are pumped up after upsetting Texas in a low-scoring affair. Hope UCLA can stay hot and not end their postseason with a disappointing loss to a Cinderella team. Let's go Bruins!
