WTF has been going on is no Smith for the season, Hill with a bad attitude, and Riley not 100%.

Thanks for the summary as always. UCLA season isn’t over! Also, perhaps juzang is the star UCLA needs. They need a go to guy. All teams do. He can be that guy.

On the other side of the court UCLA defense is terrible. I think it’s because these guys are all too slow.

-tyger too small

-Singleton too slow

-kyman too slow

-jaquez too slow

-Jules too many lapses in judgement

-Clark too raw

-juzang needs to save his energy for the other end of the court

UCLA needs better players. This extra year of eligibility hurts because all these guys are gonna hang around. UCLA needs a mass exodus to clear some space for new scholarships.

We finally have players to develop instead of one and dones and you want them gone? LMAO!

Jules, Singleton, Riley, and hill are juniors. Smith is a senior.

These players are developed as they are going to get and have reached their ceilings. Smith and hill are likely gone anyways.

Jaquez, kyman and tyger are sophomores.

Jaquez is and always has been too slow. He hustles but seems to have peaked early in the season.

Kyman is a great shooter, but his slowness on defense is an extreme liability.

Tyger also peaked early in the season. Good player, too inconsistent and too short.

All college players have swings in consistency, but I’m ready for “cronins” recruits and to get rid of all remnants of alford

Tyger only launches from three when the clock is running down. Duh.

Arizona and ASU are trash. UCLA will have a chance to win those games at home. Utah isn't good. UCLA should have a chance to at least split in the Mtns.

UCLA should have a chance. Riley will have to show up and be over his ankle injury.

Ucla should always have a chance this season. I hope hill actually returns this season. Wondering whether he will

"I will even go a step further and state that UCLA fans who are upset at the number of shots he takes should perhaps take a step back and reevaluate a few things about this roster."

Guilty. Well, guilty when he's clearly not feeling it and is shooting 6 for 20something, but no one else on this team has shown the ability - or more importantly - the willingness to put this team on his back. I was writing earlier this season about how great it is that we have so much overall quality depth and that they could be fine without Smith because there were so many parts that could add up to fill the void. The problem lately is that we've had games where virtually nobody played well, and a large group of negligible contributions doesn't get you very far. Instead of having a 5 or 6 of opportunistic stars, maybe we have a solid roster of role players that still needs someone to step up and be the man. And maybe Juzang needed those earlier games to get a feel for being the man. I don't know. This team baffles me, but that probably not the team's fault. It probably more my failure to understand our basketball team, similar to my inability to understand our football team, our volleyball teams, my kids' hockey teams, this country's psyche, and quantum mechanics, to name just a few.

Well, do make your damn free throws, Bruins. They're called free for a reason. That much I understand.
